I just got my ears pierced and they hurt like the lady sad they would, but I don't think she said for this long. What should I do. Does it mean there infected. :confused3
Please help:)

When did you get your ears pierced? How long have they hurt? Is this your first ear piercing? Sometimes how long the pain lasts depend on the person. Also, depending on how you're sleeping could cause some pain to linger. If the area around where you pierced your ear starts to feel inflamed or thicker than usual and it feels constantly itchy, then they might be infected. Make sure you're constantly cleaning around the piercing with the stuff they gave you. If they didn't give you anything, use rubbing alcohol.

I got my ears pierced last night. They have hurt well over 12 hours, and yes this is my first piercing. I was sleeping on my ears though so that could of caused today's pain. I am cleaning the like every hour on the hour with the stuff they gave me.

You don't have to clean them that much, lol. Three times a day is fine for the 6 weeks or so. After I had my lobes pierced they hurt a little bit for about 3 days after because I don't move around much at night when I sleep and I had one ear on the pillow a good portion of the time...which made mornings annoying as heck haha. My cartilage piercing hurt a little bit longer though.

Thanks for the help. I think I will just watch how I sleep and try numbing them with ice like my mom suggested.:)

You're welcome and try not to play with them a lot. That might slow down the healing process. What I mean is, if you say you're cleaning them every hour, that's too excessive. Letting them be would probably help also ;)

Try putting some ice on your ear when it hurts. Only one of my ear piercings hurt. That doesn't necessarily mean that it's infected. Just try to be patient and it should go away soon.
I also reminded myself to never sleep on the side where I just got the ear pierced. ;)

also make sure that you are turning the earring once or twice a day. Otherwise the skin will kinda start sticking to the earring
