any rides or attractions where they might be needed... I'm a musician and my ears are very sensitive from over the years of playing.. Just curious if the sound effects or music on some shows or rides could be a concern to trigger my tinnitus.. thanks

Heck, the noise level in restaurants could do that and often is far louder than sound effects on rides, IMO.

I would definitely have earplugs at the ready most everywhere outside your room. Even the lobby at some resorts can be very noisy, particularly outside 1900 PF at the GF with umpty-zillion excited kids waiting to get in there.

Never had a problem with rides being too loud. But I do have a recommendation for ear plugs.
NoNoise, they have 4 types depending on the activity. I ride a motorcycle and they are great. They reduce the loudness of the bike but still allows me to hear the radio in my helmet with no distortion.

Oh yes, a pair on a string around the neck is absolutely necessary if you have the slightest tendency to trigger a tinnitus. :dogdance:

You'll get a good notice when entering a ride if you can hear the theme music by just standing at the que entrance. And that's usually just the que line music. So the attraction will most likely be loud!

I'd especially be prepared at Epcot FW. :thumbsup2

:tinker:

DH wears hearing aids and some places are way too loud for him so he takes them out. Almost all internal shows. Country Bear Jamboree. Mickey's Philharmonic, fireworks show, test track, any outdoor concert in Epcot, rockin rollercoaster (the music played through speakers in the seat of the ride itself) and yes, most restaurants are extremely loud just from the din of all the people. Some of the line ques can be loud too like in Little Mermaid, Pirates etc. It's enclosed and they play music etc while standing in line.

Dinosaur is probably the loudest ride in WDW. And the fireworks shows, of course. But I find almost all of the attractions too loud. I always have a pair of ear plugs in my park bag. DH has hearing aids that automatically shut off if the decibels reach a certain level. This happens a lot in the parks.

I agree. The noise from a packed Cosmic Ray's and the Sonny Eclipse show was deafening. After an hour of that, I ended up with a headache!

there is a lot of spots, especially during parades and fireworks where the music will probably be at the point you want them if your sensitive.

I have over the ear noise protectors that I bring in the parks with me I am ver sensitive to noises some times if 4 people are talking that can be too much for me. first aid as the phone ones you can put in your ears if you need then

Honestly loads of the rides are super loud. Rockin roller coaster. Dinosaur. Fireworks. Space mountain. Even splas mountain.

It's a small world...

It might not be too loud but ear plugs will definitely help you keep your sanity.

Bring your ear pluges. You do not know how easy it is to injure your hearing. Mine is gone. To much main gun tank cannon fire in Vietnam.
