Hi. I am interested in taking surveys to earn money or gift cards. I signed up with some companies including Quick Rewards. Yesterday I spent over 5 hours doing surveys for QR and I earned $1.60. Totally not worth it to me. Does anyone know another way using only surveys I can earn more for the amount of time I am investing. I'd be happy making just $5 a day but I don't want to spend 5+ hours doing so. I don't want to download anything, have anything tracking my internet activity, I don't want to get paid to buy things. I will take surveys and try any products sent to me for free. I REALLY need to figure out how to get more money toward our trip. I would be grateful for any legitimate survey opportunities you can share. Maybe I am being silly to even think this is a way to earn a bit of spending money. I did sign up with a jury company has anyone else ever done something like that?

Have you ever tried Swagbucks? I've been using it since October 2012 and have cashed in SBs for:

2 X $10 Starbucks gift cards
5 X $25 Starbucks gift cards
6 X $5 Amazon.com gift cards
5 X $5 Amazon.ca gift cards

I'm not sure if I can post referral links here so I will pm you with mine. They are having a birthday bash today and you can get a good amount of bonus bucks for signing up today!

You're not going to make a lot of money doing surveys. If you could, more people would be doing them. What you will find is that over a long period of time, doing surveys when they come your way and getting a few points or dollars for the random good ones, you will eventually be able to cash out for enough to cover dinner or a few souvenirs. You're not going to pay for a trip by doing surveys and rewards programs unless you've managed to get a bunch of people to sign up under your referral link.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "jury company"? Are you talking about those consumer panel companies that have you come in to their office and then they record you and other consumers' reactions and opinions about a product or advertising campaign? Those usually pay better but you have to be available for their dates and fit the demographic group they're targeting. You don't get asked to come in too often. I'm thinking that maybe it's twice per year? But they usually pay $30-$50 for non-professionals and in the range of several hundred for professionals in the medical or engineering fields.

I agree with the above poster. You are not going to make much taking surveys. It really is only a few bucks an hour, if that. And there are some where the qualification process is so long, only to discover that you haven't qualified or you take surveys and then not get credited for them.

My preferred reward sites are sunshine rewards and swagbucks. But honestly, I've gotten to the point where I rarely take surveys, as they just aren't worth it. I primarily get the points for online shopping, the search feature on swagbucks and some of the small easy email sign-up type things. If I do take the surveys, it's while I'm on the couch watching TV. I don't set aside time specifically to take them, as it just isn't worth it.

And the jury companies are very similar to signing up for focus groups. They pay a decent amount of money (usually $40-$60 for 2-3 hours of your time), but you rarely are going to qualify for a study or jury. Maybe once or twice a year. And you're going to spend a lot of time filling out demographic information, only to not get selected for that group or jury.

If you're looking to make any decent amount of money for your trip, you are better off getting a part time job, offering to babysit for your friends or help them organize their homes, or even cutting back on your household expenses.

I am learning to coupon and so far it is going well. Last night we paid $6.90 for $38 of food. Nothing healthy though unfortunately. 2 gallons of Greene's ice cream, 3 big digornio pizzas and 2 bags of birdseye skillet pasta/chicken stir fry type meals. The day before I bought $14 of candy we won't eat but we can donate and we got $20 in gas points. We should also be getting free Colgate toothpaste from CVS this week when they get more in as we have a rain check and coupons. Planning to put the saved money in a Disney fund.

I'm disabled but looking to go back to work part time. I'm just hoping I can handle it because it is really difficult for me. Just trying to figure out what the best job would be.

Just make sure that when you're couponing, you're spending your money on things that you would have purchased anyway. It's very easy to get caught up in the "savings" but they mean nothing if you would not have normally purchased 2 gallons of ice cream, frozen pizzas and 2 bags of convenience frozen foods.

Even the free toothpaste isn't a savings if you are donating it because your closet is full of free toothpaste. And it's not a savings if you ended up spending more money at CVS because you were there anyway and needed other things that weren't on sale.

I would sugguest stop doing surveys on quickrewards.net . I have not done survey in a while. Now if Go to check list and go websites and do the one cent videos and the 75 points read 5 pages. You will make money. Is a lot money no. I cash out at least a week or more just by doing videos alone now.

I love swagbuscks. I look at the offer wall just do the videos , swagtv and swagmobile and cash I out once a week.

Yes I am paying for my whole trip to WDW by doing this. If really want some make some I would try amazon mechanical turk. I do pretty good there.

I have not done a survey in a long time. I spend most of my time watching videos to make money. I do this unwind and find it relaxing.

I know what you are saying but we are out of toothpaste so we do need it. We normally buy Digornio, hubby needs quick filling meals to eat at work, and DH said he wanted to get ice cream before we knew we had coupons or that there was a sale. Stuff we would definitely get anyway. So far we also haven't bought anything extra at CVS. Thanks for your advice though! We do try to eat healthy with some convenience stuff sprinkled in so I realize most of our food will still be pretty much full price. There are no great savings to be had on lean meats, fresh fish, milk, and fresh fruits and veggies which make up the bulk of our meals. We do want to start shopping at the farmers markets for our fruits and veggies as there are many in our neighborhood. Still those are items we like to keep stocked in the house so it worked out well. The ice cream will last a long time because I hardly ever eat any and DH is diabetic so he only eats 1/2 cup at a time. Also we have a freezer in the garage so there is plenty of room! I haven't used them yet but there were coupons for $4 off the razor blades I usually buy and I needed more of those too. I do have to be careful not to buy unhealthy food we wouldn't usually eat because it is cheap. Our grocery bills are normally astronomical! It would be so much cheaper to live off Kraft Mac N Cheese and hotdogs!

I like swagbucks. you get rewarded for surveys, taking polls, shopping, clipping coupons.

I am a member of Swagbucks, Inbox Dollars and My Points. Like others, I have pretty much given up on surveys - except on My Points since they give you points even if you do not qualify.

The big money on most sites is in the special/trial offers. You sign up for a free trial and they give you points/money. The thing is keeping track of them and cancelling before the trial period ends ;)
