Earmuffs in June? Update 7/5 Trip Report Link!

Sorry to hear that you don't think the interview went that well. The one interview I thought I did the worst in, was the job I have now... so you never know. ;)

I know how disappointing it is when you have such high expectations for things you order. I am sure the costumes will look great on the kids no matter what! We decided to bring two Cinderella costumes for our little one just in case, she throws a tantrum about one of them. I am not into meltdowns at Disney so hopefully one of them will work out the night we eat dinner with Cinderella. If not, she wears nothing...(won't that be a sight! :rotfl:) We are off to the circus today. Just a day trip to give the kids some fun.

Well, I think the costumes are actually going to work ok now!!! I just have to do some cutting to make the pants shorter. That reminds me...I need to leave feedback for those sellers!

Sorry to hear the interview could have gone better. Maybe it wasn't really that bad. Generally speaking, when I interview for a job and don't get it, the time comes when I look back and thank God I didn't get it, because it wouldn't have been nearly as good as what I ended up with. I hope the job still works out for you, but if it doesn't, there's probably something better coming along.

That's the trouble with ordering costumes, you never know exactly how it's going to turn out. I guess it's kind of fun to have more Disney-related stuff to shop for.

Thanks. The principal is on vacation in arizona this week. I'm hoping she has a super week and comes back nice ane refreshed and is pleasantly surprised by the thank you letter that will be waiting for her at school!

Hi, I have not been posting but trying to catch up on ppls trip report.
Your daughter is adorable. Off to catch up and enjoy in others excitement:cloud9:
I love your BBB past trip pics. SO cool, we also went in '09.
Looks like you have some awesome planning done and ready for action!

I am a little jealous of the BBB(not that I want a girl I am in love with my boys) only because its so darn cute and special! Next trip we can do Pirates league but yds wontbe 3 yet and that is their age limit. I wondered about Boy costumes in parks since I see al the girls in dresses but all of the biys costumes are long sleeved and too hot.
Thanks for sharing your ptr

Aw, thanks!!! We really had a great time at BBB. Sophie got lots and lots of attention that day!

The only good thing about being two weeks behind is you get the whole story at once:lmao:

Sorry your interview didn't turn out so well - but its so true that the Lord works in mysterious ways. Consider it good practice for the real thing, right?;)

Sounds like the costume were a mixed bag. 2 out of 3, right?

My DD is also a very tall 7 year old - I end up buying her a 12 most of the time now. I had been looking for fairy costume, and the tween stuff that will fit her is a little to flirty for her age. The pirate costume will be so cute -- I've seen some great black leggings at the the Children's Place, and they sell capris this time of year too. They are great for underneath dresses of questionable length!

I love all your shopping finds. the flip flops are so cute and we are BIG Phineas and Ferb fans here so LOVED the Deuf doll! I have a feeling DH will want that one! :rotfl2:

Thanks! It definitely is nice to read TRs/PTRs with some progress made! I made it through one girl's three TRs and 1 PTR this weekend. It was nice knowing it was complete! I'll be checking TCP this weekend for the leggings. I've noticed that have some biker shorts things at justice as well.

I wanted you to know I am still praying!

Thanks so much! I hope I hear something soon! She doesn't get back from vacation till Monday. Now I just need patience!

Hi! I just found this report and noticed yuo will be in the world about the same time we are. I am subscribing and will go back and read to catch up.

Erika

I'm so glad you wrote! Today during my lunch at school I wrote down all screen names of people there at the same time as me. Then I got through about 12 pages looking for PTRs. I'm off to check out your PTR!

Just stopping in to say Hello & see how you are coming along with things.

I am finally all caught up.

First, your children are just adorable. That was great that Sophie got to meet Paul Hamm. It looks like she is going to be quite the gymnast.

Loved your recap of your prior trip. Sophie was adorable as Belle.

Your plans for this trip look great! We arrive on the 25th. I looked and I think there may be some days we are in the same parks. I don't have my schedule with me at work but will check at home some time. Plus, you have some great ADR's.

I can't wait to hear how you like POR. I have always wanted to stay there. I do plan to visit this summer as I want to try their beignets.

My son is wanting to do the Pirate's League this time. Where did you find the pricing and options? I have looked everywhere I normally do and for the life of me, cannot find it.

:flower3:Sending you good thoughts and prayers for your job. I hope it all works out for you.

Erika

I forgot something in my last post. You mentioned that on your Epcot day you wanted to get FP for Soarin and hope to get into Crush. We use this strategy every year we have been. DH goes and gets the FP for Soarin. DS and I will take our time and meet up with him at the NEMO ride. We ride NEMO, look around, and then go to the first Crush show. There has always been minimal wait so you should have no problem getting in.

HI!!! I was checking in to see if there were any updates!!! :goodvibes

No updates on the job yet! I'm still praying!

We've now reached the boring part of a PTR...the long wait! I'm fine tuning some plans and will update later this week.

Thank you so much!!! Here is the pirate info before I forget...http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tours-and-experiences/pirates-league/. You have to actually call to make a reservation. I need to call and get my confirmation number. I put it "in a place where I wouldn't lose it.". We all know what happens when you do that!

It was really fun meeting Paul Hamm! Sophie has fun in gymnastics but we have some concerns. Her coach said she is growing really fast. This is a big problem because the taller you are, the strength you need on the bars grows exponentially because of the center of balance, etc. So her upper body strength isn't there. We'll see what happens this summer at gymnastics camp. Otherwise, she may just do tumbling (which the coach said was great for tall kids).

Thanks for the tip! I was considering riding soarin in standby AND getting a FP, but I will probably do your suggestion since we will probably be riding with the cousins later in the week anyway. My goal is to get all of our must dos done before the cousins come and then we can go with the flow when we are all together!

I have a second interview! I have been praying nonstop. I hope I get this job!!! I promise to do an update soon. I need to feel better prepared for this interview and will be studying like crazy!

Congratulations on the second interview!! I'm sure you'll do great! :goodvibes

Congrats on the second interview! That's awesome!

Thank you all so much!!! The interview went great. I was much more comfortable. A board member (who is a teacher at another school) was there as well. I feel like I answered all questions well and that we connected. The principal said that I was the first of the 2nd interviews and that there are still 3 weeks of interviews left. Ugh. I found out that one of the creators of Garmin has children at the school :scared1:! I've heard that expectations of teachers are huge. But...I am SO READY!!!!! So any more prayers you have to spare would still be greatly appreciated! I am blessed to have friends (new and old!) pulling for me! Thanks girls! :lovestruc:lovestruc

Grrr. I just lost my entire post.

Sorry for not updating for so long! I've been so focused on my job situation. I've been reading, just not updating!

I have a disney related update, though! A friend from a mommy board I belong to (for babies born in 2005) has a daughter who was diagnosed with leukemia a few years ago. A couple weeks ago, she was declared cancer free AND she was granted her wish from Make a Wish!!! She's going to Disney world in May!!! I was in charge of taking a collection and making a purchase for her honoring her upcoming trip. This is all a surprise, of course. Our small group collected $175! We got a $150 gift card (featuring her favorite character, Hercules!) and the following items:

I can't wait for her to get it all!!!

I think I posted about this already, but here are pictures of the plushes we got for the kids to be in the room when we get to Disney. I think I got Ethan mickey, but it could have been goofy. I can't remember.

I can't believe you found a gift card with Hercules on it. That's amazing.

Cute stuffed animals for the kids. I'm sure they will love finding them in the room. :goodvibes

I finally finished reading through all 16 pages today. I'm a bit late to the party, but look forward to hearing more! Your kids are adorable! Sophie was beautiful in her Belle dress after BBB. It's things like that where I wish I had a girl, but only for a little! My 4 year old DS loves princesses, so close enough I guess. He'd probably dress up as one if I let him, it's scary!

After reading PirateKate's TR and her experience trading vinylmations, I'm determined to try it on our next trip. I didn't know you could trade them! We've bought pins, but never bothered trading. I like this better.

I've wanted to have my boys try the Pirates League, but they don't seem interested. :sad2:

I really want an iPad, but my birthday has come and gone and I still don't have one. :sad1: Oh well, it was a big wish.

I know how you feel about weight loss. It's a never ending cycle for me. I work out and I'm strict during the week with eating, for the most part, but then the weekend comes, and there goes any progress I made.

Is Test Track on your list for Epcot? It's one of my son's favorites. Fast passes and child swaps are a great thing to take advantage of, assuming your youngest is not 40" yet.

I hope you get good news about the interviews and new job possibility!

Continued good :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes for the job!!!!

I LOVED the MAW gifts, that is so incredibly special and will make their dream trip that much better!!! You and your friends are very generous!! :goodvibes
