I'm playing serious catch-up here...but...good luck with the job, sounds great!!! Love the vinylmations...we never got into that this time..I thought for sure we would, but the girls barely even noticed them..probably a good thing

More or less caught up. We want to start vinylmations too. I think it is a neat idea. I don't see us going too overboard with it...for now! Great PTR so far. We love POR even though we have never stayed there. We have stayed at POFQ and I know once our baby is out of a pack and play we will be staying there for the same reasons you do. Can't wait to see how it goes. What are your exact dates?

The 3 inch vinylmations are little Mickey figurines. They are decorated in a ton of different ways. Then at Disney, you can go to certain shops and trade them. They have something called a blind trade. The shop has this big tray with different compartments. You tell the cm which compartment you want and you get whatever is in it. You can only trade once per day per location. The figures are $10, though some sets sell for $13 at times. Some have the goal of collecting an entire set, others have the goal of getting the rare ones, and others just do it for fun. You could buy an entire box for around $300 and guarantee the entire set. Each box has one mystery figure that is considered rare (since there is only one per box as opposed to 2-3 of the other figures). If you google vinylmation, Disney has a video on trading that was helpful to me. I just think it's fun to not know what you get till you open it, and then have a chance to trade. Like a grab bag!

Like I said, the cast members were all so excited for him! Then he looks up at me and says, "mom, I want Buzz. Can I trade now?". Ummm...nope...you'll be getting a new chance at the parks. We'll keep this one!

Oh, and as Finn is walking out, he drops Bullseye and the arm flies off. Nice. We hot glued it when we got home.

oooohh i am caught up now and read the vinylmation trading description. I think a pin trading addition is plenty for my family and our little budget (I ordered 75 pins on ebay, we are SET for trading pins at WDW though I think I need a pin binder instead of a lanyard!)

You can say it has it's ups and downs! I need to seriously evaluate my plan/habits. Weight watchers changed their point system and that's when the losing really stopped and the maintenance started. I can still lose if I am excersicing 90 minutes a day 6 days a week. I think I'll have a talk with my leader this week. I know I could make some changes (mainly having more control over the weekend) as well. It's a life long journey, for sure!

I was ready to start pin trading and then the kids got into this, so I think we'll do this. It definitely isn't as cheap as pin trading!

I'm NOT a shopaholic, I swear!!! It is odd for me to do this much shopping. But, it happened again. Sigh. I may need an intervention. Disney had free shipping on St. Pat's Day, so I used some more gift cards and got some clearance & sale stuff. Everything is being kept surprise until we get to our hotel on the way down. They'll get it before Disney, but only RIGHT before. The flip-flops will be for pool only since I wouldn't want to have them walk in parks with new shoes.

I, um, was at it again. I was ebaying all morning and got the three pirate costumes for pirates league. It was kind of tricky to find outfits I thought wouldnt kill them in the heat! I accidentally bought 2 costumes for Finn. I was hasty and bid and THEN realized it wasn't ethan's size. Oh well. I won it for $8. I'm sure I can resell near Halloween for more. I'll post those pictures later.

Pirate League Gear!

Finn- as I said before, I accidentally got him two costumes. Scott wasnt happy. Oops. This is a Little Tikes brand. I got the black.

Finn#2- the reviews on this one were pretty good, but it is a fake leather top. If we use this one, we'll put an undershirt on. It is said to run small, and the size is said to be 2-4 (sz small) However, I can't find a 2-4 for this costume ANYWHERE. All smalls are 4-6. On the review, it's said to run small. Hopefully this is actually a 4-6. I think I'm going to shorten the legs. I can't do any damage, right?

Ethan- he really wanted to be captain hook. He's never really passionate about anything, so I felt bad saying no to this. All the captain hook costumes I found were several layers and long sleeved. No way. We both agreed on this one. I figured I could turn it into shorts easily as well.

Sophie- AMAZING deal. We've been eyeing this costume and another like it. We both liked the other one more, but it seemed a little too mature for an almost 8 year old. This one seemed more sweet and very appropriately cut. Anyway, it was always over $25 plus shipping. Today I was browsing and found someone selling it new in package, for 50% off! I got it for $12 plus shipping! I snatched it up and then started shopping for the boys.

These will be Halloween costumes for this year as well.

LOVE The Pirate costumes, especially the modest cut for Sophie...some of the girls outfits make you go They are going to be ADORABLE!!! (Should I say, Very MANLY for the boys, ??) I can't wait to see photos after they are all made up.

The pirate costumes are great. This just confirms to me that we have to make time for our son to go to Pirate's League. He would love the costume you bought Finn. They are all great by the way. You sure no how to find great stuff!
