Early tender if no excursion?

If we are not signed up for any excursion, can we still hop on an early tender in Grand Cayman, or do we have to wait until all the excursion folks are taken care of?

You can go to the movie theater where they usually have the tender tickets distributed and get in line. The DCL excursions will meet elsewhere and load the tenders as needed but the tender tickets are given out here first come first served and you just get your number and sit and wait for it to be called. The group will be led downstairs to the tender.
