See only your mum can tell you to behave on the boards! :teeth:

Scubabeck,

My DD is 16 and would love to "meet" someone online before we sail. She is a bright, friendly girl...Would your daughter like to email? Let me know. :sunny:

It's getting sooooo close now! I just can't wait to step aboard! :cool1:

Lisa

I made my DD 17 promise me she would at least attempt going to the stack and meeting the other teens on board. She says Mom! do you know how hard that is? I'll be way too neverous. So I told her Mal... go and at least take pictures so I know what that looks like seeing how they won't let me into the stack. She laughed and told me I was too nosy! I had to laugh  But she promised she would go at least once to at least take pictures for me. LOL That's one way to get her to go! :cool1: I'm glad HookedonMagic has a DD too that would be great if they form a instant friendship. Someone for her to hang out with.!!!

Sounds like the girls already have something in common...crazy moms! :flower: ;) My DD and I had a similar conversation...I just want her to give the Stack a try...of course my DH thinks I'm nuts. He says what happens if she actually goes and meets (gasp) boys! :crazy2:

Oh well, it will be great if the girls hit it off. Then they can go together and make their pushy moms happy. :cool1:

HA HA HA this is great... my daughter says ditto on the crazy part! She just got in from school and I told her and she laughed at me.... O mom... What am I to say? I told her My mom talked to your mom and I think my mom is insane. How about yours? ROFL :cool1:

DD13 is worried about making friends too. She is convinced it will be too hard. She has promised to try as well. She will be there the 1st night to try and meet everyone.

This time in just 9 days we will be on our way to the airport!!!!

What should I expect for dinner the first night? Cause I made reserves for a couples massage for DH and Myself at 7pm to 815pm. Should I cancel?

Somewhere there is a post with a link for menus. I remember seeing it but can't tell ya where I found it. I do know your dinner the first 3 nights depends on which rotation you have. After that the menus are the same in each restaurant. Maybe somebody will be able to find and post the link. I am getting hungry already.

Just my opinion you should always go to your first dinner where you meet the people taking care of you all week. If you could adjust your massages I would certainly recommend coming to dinner. ::MinnieMo

The first night (actually the first 3) is rotational dining, meaning you'll be in AP, PC or L. The rotations ae APL, PLA, LAP.

If your rotation is APL, you will miss the light show in Animator's Palate. It is only done on the first night, so you would not be able to see it.

As for food, you can find the menus on a different website that can't be posted here. DCL's website might have sample menus as well.

What rotation are you on? If you are on early and have the 5:30 seating, you may be able to get done in time for the 7 p.m. massage. Just let the servers know (as well as your tablemates) that you have the 7 p.m. appointment.

Hope that helps.

Here are the links to DCL's websites sample menus:

Lumieres: http://adisneycruise.disney.go.com/media/dcl_v0202/en_US/media/onboard/dining/lumieres.pdf

Animator's Palate: http://adisneycruise.disney.go.com/media/dcl_v0202/en_US/media/onboard/dining/animators.pdf

Parrot Cay: http://adisneycruise.disney.go.com/media/dcl_v0202/en_US/media/onboard/dining/parrotcay.pdf

And for those going to PALO: http://adisneycruise.disney.go.com/media/dcl_v0202/en_US/media/onboard/dining/palo.pdf

The other site that has the menus, along with the navigators and dining rotations can not be posted on the DIS. It will be blacked out.

You can reach it by putting "club" after the first name of DCL's island and then "dot com".

Hope that helps.

Jeff

Sorry, it looks like the links are working directly. You'll have to copy and paste them into the address line.

I have a six oclock dinner appointment but no clue as to what my dinner rotation is. If it's Parrot Cay or Lumerier first or even AP. Is there someway to find out before hand? How long does dinner actually take? They got to move folks through pretty quick don't they?

You won't find out your rotation until you get to port. A 6:00 dining means you have early dining. The times for early are 5:30, 5:45 and 6:00. I think the restaurants are AP, PC, and L, respectively.

As for how long it takes, you might be able to get done in an hour or slightly more. It would be rushing it, but you should be able to finish. You should go and at least to meet your tablemates. You could have a drink and maybe an appetizer, then head out to your massage. You could then either get room service or head up to Topsiders if they are still open. Or you could get something from Pluto's by the Mickey Pool. Even if you AP on the first night, you'll be able to see what the "light show" is about in the time you're there. And if you want to see how it ends, I'm sure the Head Server will let you come and watch during the later seating.
