Ok you experienced cruisers - two questions:

1. Temperature at Dinner - are the restaurants freezing? I have a lot of sleeveless and light weight stuff packed for dinners. Will I be wearing a sweater or jacket the whole time to stay warm?

2. Water - I like to drink a lot of it and am not terribly picky, but does it taste ok on the ship? Will I need to lug some on on pay for the water package?

Thanks!

THANKS JEFF!!! Where is our dismeet? Didn't that get planned for the first day?

If I remember correctly, it is during the sail away party, but up on Deck 10, starboard side. Look for the GREEN bracelets.

I don't recall it being too cold (and DW is sleeping so I can't ask her opinion), but I would bring a light sweater just to be on the safe side. Plus, you may want it if you go up on deck in the evening. I can get a little windy sometimes.

As for the water, we never had any problems with it. We drink it with dinner every evening.

Hope that helps.

Jeff

Jeff -

Thanks for busting out the kids by gender and age. That is great!

What else you got to do - pack?! :rotfl2:

Sorry - thought you might have a running list. But thank you!

NEPatsFans - are you still with us? I remember that you weren't sure you would be able to go and haven't seen you post lately. Hope that you're still joining us! :)

Not a problem. I was thinking of listing the DISers on our Cruise Meet. Has anyone started a list on that?

Didn't know if we wanted name tags for the DIS meet.

Yeah, I had a running list going. It was back on page 38. :rotfl2:

Actually there were only two DISer additions totalling three children.

I was confused on Kawaba, because in one post they listed the kids as DS's but the signature line has them as DD's. Their original post was for DD's. That's how I left them.

Jeff

Working- I work at home as a TA and we have been very busy for the last 2 days. Can't wait to relax on the 21st!

I tried to search for him, but it didn't come up right away so I went backwards from page 38 (wrong direction) to find a post from him. I clicked on "show more posts from" and the last post from him was on our board on 8/26/05, or something like that.

In going back, I did see there are other DISers we haven't heard from lately.

Jeff

If I read the posts correctly they only show the light show one night in Animators Palate...tell me I am wrong...I thought for the first 3 days when you rotated when you got there regardless of the day you got to see it. Oh please somebody set me straight. I am not sure what our rotation is but I want to see that for sure. :worship:

The first night (actually the first 3) is rotational dining, meaning you'll be in AP, PC or L. The rotations ae APL, PLA, LAP.

If your rotation is APL, you will miss the light show in Animator's Palate. It is only done on the first night, so you would not be able to see it.

As for food, you can find the menus on a different website that can't be posted here. DCL's website might have sample menus as well.

What rotation are you on? If you are on early and have the 5:30 seating, you may be able to get done in time for the 7 p.m. massage. Just let the servers know (as well as your tablemates) that you have the 7 p.m. appointment.

Hope that helps.

Jeff

This was the post I was referring to. Please tell me they show it all 3 nights. I think I understand what you are saying but I want to make sure. :headache:

They do the show every night for the first 3 nights - no worries.....

That is what I thought but with all the excitement of my first Disney cruise I thought maybe I was way off base. Thanks for calming me down.....I hope between now and next Saturday I can keep myself together...I am worse then a kid when it comes to trips.

Shhhhhhh! If we don't tell her, that will be one less person trying to get the PLA rotation. :rotfl2: Just kidding.

Sorry for the confusion. The AP light show is only on the first night you go there, meaning the first time there in your rotation.

Hope that clarifies. Thanks Sandy for letting her know.

I always bring a sweater, but I rarely need to use it. The temps are pretty moderate. It always seems cold, however, in the movie theater.

2. Water - I like to drink a lot of it and am not terribly picky, but does it taste ok on the ship? Will I need to lug some on on pay for the water package?

The ships water is very good. You may want to bring a mug or sports bottle to fill up for use while you are on deck. The drink station on deck 9 only has smallish cups.

Thanks for all of the lists. It is nice to be traveling with organized people!
