We may try to upgrade at the port too but we aren't getting there until about noon (DH doesn't want to wait in the crowded terminal)so they may be all gone.

Sandy, I for one hope that a Cat 7 just came open for you before you get there, if you know what I mean. :rotfl2:

I am still planning this weekend to see how many of each category are still available. Happy with the 7, but would be really happy with a 4 or 5 (6's, as it appeared last night, are only 2 rooms left). The strange thing about the 6's is that they price up less than a 7 right now. :confused3

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to share a fun tidbit that we discovered prior to our last Eastern cruise.

On Saturday night, as we steam towards St. Maarten, you can see the Wonder coming back from Castaway Cay. Folks on the starboard side of the ship can look out at approx 11:00 p.m. when the ships pass. Obviously, the ships have a pretty wide spread between them, but it is very clear that its the Wonder. We really enjoyed watching it, and will do the same this year!

Everyone have a great day. We are getting soooo close. :sunny:

Thanks for the well wishes and good luck at the port yourself. :earsboy:

Craig,
No upgrade here either. Also, we here in the "Frozen Tundra" want to wish all our cruisemates and DIS board members a safe and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all and safe travels..............

To stay with the current theme, Jim and I would like to wish all of our MAGICal cruisemates a safe and joyous Christmas. Our Air Force son and his wife are home from Anchorage and our DD, SIL and DGD, plus their 2 dogs (my granddogs) will be here this evening to start the Christmas pandemonium. Our house is going to be full and so will my heart. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

Well, it's Christmas Eve. As everyone is rushing around getting ready for Christmas Day, if you haven't gotten that last gift for that special person, remember one thing......

IN ONE MONTH WE'RE IN ST. MAARTIN. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Tell that person you're going to get their gift next month. St. Maartin is great shopping for Jewelry, Watches, etc.

Everyone traveling today, be safe. Enjoy being with your families this weekend. Stay up late tonight, because in a month, you'll want to go to bed early (well, at least stay up to see the fireworks on Pirate Night pirate: ). We have 6:00 a.m. imigration in St. Thomas tomorrow morning next month. Well, those of us who have young children, I think tomorrow morning might be earlier than the St. Thomas morning. :rotfl2:

Jeff

Merry Christmas everyone! Well we will be well on our cruise this time next month, but have you checked out Santa's travels today. Go to www.noradsanta.org and you will see that he has made several stops already and is now flying over Nepal and heading to India. The reindeer are still looking good and seem to be up for the long trip ahead.

Check this website out with your children and you can track Santa's progress with NORAD and several airforce personnel assisting in the tracking. We do this every Christmas Eve day/night. It's lots of fun.

Seasons Greeting from Canada everyone!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

One month today we'll be in St. Thomas. :cool1:

Now that Christmas is here, as of tomorrow, it is time to focus on the cruise. Like none of us haven't already. :rotfl:

Jeff

Happy Boxing Day.

O.K. I have no clue what that is, but maybe one of our Canadian DISers could fill us in. :confused3

Update on where we'll be in another month. It is our last day at sea :guilty: and we'll be on our way to Castaway Cay. :sunny:

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas.

Only 26 days til we sail. :cool1:

Today is one of my worst days of the year, everything has to start being packed away. It's fun putting everything out but taking down.... Oh well hopefully it will all be down tomorrow sometime. I hope everybody had a good Christmas.

Wow you start early. DW won't let me start until the 1st. The outside lights will be turned off after New Year's Eve. Depending on the weather, they will come down on New Year's Day.

She goes all out at Christmas time (if 5-6 trees is any indication), so there is a lot to take down. We will start with most items on the 1st, but are completely done by my birthday, the 7th. Since we both are off on the 2nd and 3rd, I think we'll be done by the end of the 3rd.

Jeff

I usually take everything down today but my in-laws couldn't come until Wednesday and asked to see the house decorated. So, today I get to relax and play with the kids. I'll take everything down on the 1st. Can't believe the cruise is getting so close :)

Happy Hanukkah, Kwanza, Boxing day.............

I checked the room availability for our cruise (Cats 4-7). It didn't take me long at all due to all the upgrades that must have taken place.

Cat 4 is GTY only.
Cat 5 is not available.
Cat 6 only has 2 rooms.
Cat 7 has 5 rooms.

That is down quite a bit from December 1st. When I checked at that time, the available room counts were 15, 35, 9 and 17, respectively. If you figure Cat 4 is really zero (book a Cat 4 at GTY and they'll probably move a different Cat 4 to a Cat 3), they went from 76 rooms down to 7.

Again, congrats to all those that got upgraded. :cloud9:

For those looking for port upgrades to balconies, it doesn't look good. :guilty:

Happy Boxing Day! Since I was born in England - I can fill you in on the origin! It was the day that the servants were given off (since they worked Christmas, making dinner, etc.). And thus, they were given boxes (presents and bonuses) from their bosses and opened their gifts that day. Or so rumor has it! Traditionally, you don't work or do much as a result. So no taking lights down for us either!
