Hello folks, I'm new to the forums!

Have a question I want answered but runDisney hasn't answered so then I found these forums! Anyway my question is, do Disney Visa Card Members or Annual Passholders get early registration? I had read somewhere they do. I knew they also got discounts on race fees. Thanks for anyone that can help.

Annual Passholders usually can register a week early. Np discount though.
Don't know about the Visa card.

All three; AP, Visa and DVC have offered early entry. Though they all seem to have glitches. Honestly, the WDW stuff will not sell out before the regular opening... the DL stuff sells like it is no one's business.

Just look at the perks pages. I know W&D just opened today for DVC

This is incorrect. Visa does not get early registration.

I agree. So far this year, no Visa card early registration for any races.

Coach's statement, to me, simply states that Disney Visa has at some point offered early entry. This is true, as I have absolutely used Disney Visa to register early in prior years. DisneyRunner is also correct in the bolded, that *so far this year* Disney Visa has not offered early entry into any of the races. But, that is not to say that Disney Visa won't allow early entry into future registrations, though it perhaps may not be likely this year.

previous years Disney Visa has offered early registration. This year seems to have lost that benefit.

Well runDisney emailed me back and said it would be available the week prior to public registration. However I don't see it anywhere in my cardmember perks/offers.

So I emailed the card services and asked them about. Awaiting a reply. I do hope for the WDW 2015 marathon weekend, they have early registration as I have possibly up to six people to sign up for various races! Would be nice especially since 2 or 3 want to do the 10K which sold out rather quickly last year.

It will be interesting to see the response. The last time I remember they offered the early registration was the 2013 Marathon. It was not announced in advance. That time Visa sent an email a week before registration opened to everyone telling cardholders they could register.

I had always heard the DVC and Visa member got early registration but I never knew how to access it because I never got an email or anything about it. I have always just waited till registration was open to the general public and I was fine! I did get a discount on race registration for using my Disney visa though so I was happy!

The difficulty with waiting until public sale these days is for the crazy popular things, such as Dumbo Double Dare, and anything "inaugural" like the upcoming Avengers race, or Glass Slipper if I recall correctly. These can sell out within the first hour or two of public sale, and as you can imagine, the website takes a beating and there have been a number of frustrated posts about the frenzy. That being said, this *CAN* be done, it just may be a little crazy at 12pm on opening day.. or whenever.

Being DVC, I usually check the member perks at dvcmember.com and take advantage of the early sale.. gives you a few extra days to get ahead of the craziness.. and a small discount as well.

So I'll throw this out there:

- What if I'm not an AP or DVC member and I use their time frame at early registration to register, what will happen to me?

In other words, how do they know you have an AP or are a DVC member?

They don't.

As roomthreeseventeen said, if you have the code and link, there aren't really checks to stop you. I'm not even sure that the Disney Visa ones even required you to use the card.

You log in to your AP or DVC account to register.

unfortunately there's no checks and balances system. they dont require an AP number or DVC number to be entered. anyone with the registration link can register. it's an honor code at that point.

This is not true.

Let me clear up my previous post. Unless things have changed, the early registration link is not generally available. The AP holder logs unto the Passholder website and goes to the link to register. A Passholder would then have to share that link for someone else to register.
