Looking at some Navigators, I see there are two "shows" listed for Pirate Night. However, on our last cruise, I only remember going to the pirate party with the fireworks (Bucaneer Blast). What is the early pirate show? It is listed for the short time in between the two dinners. Maybe I did see it and am just forgetting....or maybe we totally missed it!

Yes for some time there have been two, one in between the two dinner sittings ,the early middle one is there for young children really who might not be up to see the late ones.

The proper main show is post late dinner in the MDR and starts around 9.45pm with fireworks at 10.30 and a buffet after that.

The early one is just a music party it doesnt have fireworks and there isn't a buffet.

Do they repeat the same show for both? Last time I remember Mickey coming out and doing a whole dancing thing and then Jack Sparrow coming out. Are they both included in the late show or is Mickey only in the early show?

On the classic ships there is one pirate show, after the late dinner. The show starts with Disney characters doing it, then Jack Sparrow (bad-guy pirates) comes in and takes over the show. Then Captain Mickey swoops in and saves the day, followed by fireworks and the buffet.

On the Dream class ships, there is a family-friendly (Mickey & Friends) pirate show between the dinner seatings. And a Jack Sparrow-type pirate show following the late seating with the fireworks and buffet.

Different shows on different classes of ships.

On our last cruise on the Magic in January, the Pirate Show was way too late for our kiddos. The dance party that delays what everyone is waiting for (i.e., fireworks, Mickey on a zip line) is pathetically boring and lame. This seems like an opportunity for schedule optimization.

Just got off the Wonder and we only had one Pirate show around 7 ish with the fireworks. It was inbetween the dinners. They did have the buffet though at 10PM.

Yes, I did read that DCL was giving the earlier show (between the dinner seatings) a try on the classic ships. But, later in the summertime, I'm not sure it will be as do-able (more sunlight at that time).

Yes, we sailed The Wonder in Feb. they did the show at 7:30 perfect as we were traveling with our small grandchildren and they enjoyed it a lot.
They would have never made a late show.
I was told they were experimenting with earlier shows because of complaints that young families couldn't make the later time.

Yes, we also had the early pirate show aboard the Wonder. Although,it was stated as 9:45pm prior to departure on the my activities section on the website.

Did they always have the buffet following the pirate show? We were on the Magic 12/13 and I don't recall a post show buffet.I also recall just one show.

Totally agree with boring and lame comment, maybe it's time for Disney to introduce something new ???

Just off the Magic and they had the one Pirate show at 9:45 followed by the 10:30 fireworks and the buffet in cabanas. Such a fun night!

This is exactly what happened on our cruise on the Wonder! Just got back on 4/22.

On my February Wonder trip, the pirate party and fireworks where in between main and second seating.

Completely agree!! After the first two cruises we started showing up 15-20 minutes late. The dance party with characters is great, but the beginning with the CMs is AWFUL. At least change the songs one in a while.
