Early or late seating

we are cruising with a 20mo and a 5yo. Can anyone suggest an early or late seating. Also my wife and I would like to dine at Palo one night, Can the kids use child care while we are at dinner?

I have been reading these boards for months now, and although I've never cruised, I can tell you that people have said that with young children, the early seating would be best. My children will be 11, 13, and 14, and I chose late seating. I've also read that young ones have a hard time staying awake at the late seating (8:30?)

We cruised for the first time with the kids at 3y 3m & 5y. We couldn't have done late seating & early worked out great for us! We have early seating for the next cruise when they will be 4 1/2 & 6.
