we will be at the fort from 10/6-10/12 and we can hardly stand it. It doesn't matter how often we go or how long we stay, I always want to go sooner an stay longer. After many dicusions we have decided to buy electric scooters ( I wanted an electric chopper but that would be considered a motorcycle ). The cost of renting a golf cart would limit our visits and with a 37 foot fiver it's hard to take a cart with you (40 foot limit on trailers ).We want to follow the rules so a decision has been made. Hopefully we will get to meet a few DIS'ers while we are there. We go 3-5 times a year but, we never seem to be there with other people on the board. We are not hard to spot, I am the guy singing and dancing and DW is the one riding in the same truck trying to pretend she doesn't know me.:rotfl2: :lmao: WELCOME TO DISNEY WORLD......Anybody else going around then.

We will be! I can't wait. This is our first time staying at the fort. Going Oct.6-Oct.15. We have always stayed at the Shades of Green, so we are pretty excited to be taking the trailer this time. How tight are the 100, 200, or 400 loops? We are taking a 32' toyhauler, and I will need to be able to drop the back door. DH is in a wheelchair and that is how we get him in, but I am concerned that we will have a "skinny" site and it will be tight moving around the site with the camper there. Also are the sites in those loops hard to back into? We requested to be close to the marina so I am assuming that we will be in one of those loops. I just can't wait to be there!:yay:

400 loop doesn't seem to bad but, the 100 and 200 seem tight to me ( then again, a parking lot can get tight with a 37 footer:rotfl2: )
We havn't stayed in the 100 - 300 loops yet but when we drive through, they don't look as tight as one sight we had in the 800 loop. Somehow we got in but, when we went back to look at that site the next trip, I couldn't believe we got in. Someone else may be able to answer about the toy hauler thing but, I think a majority of the sites will have enough room for you to get the gate down.
LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN !!!!! :dance3: :cool1:

we're going 10/7-10/13 and this is our first time at the Fort. It's our 4th trip overall, but our first with both kids. I have no idea what loop we're in. We have a 21' tt and this is only the 5th time we've used it. We won't be too hard to spot either. If you don't hear me yelling at both DS's, you'll see me dancing around all excited  . My DH will be just like your DW.....acting like he has no idea who that crazy woman is!!

See you there!!! Two Months and counting!!

Me and some friends of mine will be there from the 6th - 20th. I have a partial hookup loop booked and will request 2000. I won't be hard to spot either. I'll have the most unique camper there I bet

We will be there October 1st thru 7th. Second time @ the Fort for us. First time for our DD4. This will be our first trip in our new ANTIQUA.
Hope to see some other peeps from the boards.

No one is ever there when we are,,,,well, there are lots of people but not from the DIS. I was starting to get a complex:confused3 We can't waitparty: . We requested the 400 loop for our site but, we normally try to get around the rest of the campground to look around:drive: .we should be the only one with the giant mickey head on the front of the fiver

:cool1:  :hourglass :wave2: :welcome: :drinking1

We will be there Oct. 4th / Oct 12th in a perfered pet loop hope to get close to beach/boat this is our 7th trip we will be in a 2005 (new to us) 37' Georgie boy class A
Last trip last Oct was a 30' fiver I so HOPE we can get in the site.

We'll be there Oct. 7-12 some where in a prefered site. Not sure what we are camping in yet. It will be our pop up or (hopefully) a new travel trailer. The boys are so excited about mnsshp on Oct 8! Other then the halloween party we get to just camp and relax. In the past, we have always stayed in the cabins and gone into the parks all day everday. We are all excited for this trip.

I have checked out the map of the loops, but I can't tell from looking at it. About how far is the 400 loop from Pioneer Hall and the marina area? We won't have a golf cart because of the wheelchair and I was just wondering the distance too everything from this loop, because from what I have read, I may want to request this loop. I am worried about backing in, I am not usually TOO bad, but when people are around I get nervous.:scared: So I would like to find something that will be a little easier to do. Thanks for your advice!

I'm not sure how to answer this because what I don't think is far could be way to far for someone else. The entrance to the 400 loop is near the same distance from the marina etc. as the bus stop for the marina.
From what I have seen, all the loops have thier easy and hard sites to back into.Whatever loop you choose to request, you may want to fax a request for a "easy" site to FW. My understanding is that they are good about doing what they can to help us out. I don't have the number:confused3 but it is on the FW website:banana: .

If you want to see practically every DIS'er going in the month of October, check out the Official October 2007 List thread. Please feel free to come join us. Don't hate us because we aren't lucky enough to own an RV! ;) Personally, I am really jealous of you guys! Maggie
