Early October Question

We a are planning to go to US/IOA October 2nd and Oct 3rd, do you think that fast passes are going to be needed? I wasn't sure on how busy the parks will be. We were also thinking about staying offsite and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for a nice three star place. There is just my DS11, DH and myself going. Your advice is appreciated.

In previous years when we were there on those same dates we never needed to buy the passes. We were there pre-WWOHP 2009 so I am hoping it hasn't changed too much. It's my favorite time of the year to go! Have fun!

We normally visit at that time of year and never had fast passes, on a few occasions we have actually been quicker than the fastpass.

talking about the express passes, you won't be needing them.
with the dates being a sunday and a monday, you should be good to go.

one thought:
finish up with the studios side by 4:00.

peeps tend to come to the parks early on a hhn night.

they like to come and do the rides before the park closes at 5:00.
that can create some lines for the rides at that park.

not saying it will happen for early october but something to keep in mind.

peeps with the hhn can move to the s & s section at 5:00 to wait for security to clear the park out from the day trippers.

We will be there on October 1st, staying at Portofino. Hoping the lines aren't too long as well. Is HHN at Studios or IOA? We're planning on IOA only on that day so it would be a bummer if they closed early.

My 5 year old is only 42" so we're already going to have to scramble to do Harry Potter with the parent swap etc.

HHN is in the Studios. IOA is usually open until 7pm.
