Early October-problems with scheduling

I am planning an early Oct. trip for myself (34) DH (34) my best friend (36) and my DS(6) and DD(almost 4).

We will have 3 day hoppers and will be staying at the Grand Californian from Monday night to Friday Morning. We plan to hit some other S. Cal attractions on the surrounding weekends.

I was thinking that we would hit the DL parks on Tues, Wed. and Thursday. We have never seen Aladdin in DCA so that is high on our list. We would also like to see the "Billy" show at DL this time.

I am worried that since it is the off season, these things will not be offered. I'm not concerned about missing fireworks or fantasmic.

Does anyone know if these shows will likely run mid week in the off season?

You should be ok. The "billy" show runs every day because they have 2 teams. Aladdin is dark 2 days each week - Tuesday and Wednesday, I think. With 3 days in the park, you should be able to see it once. Check the DL website before you leave home for their schedule. You're right - you don't want to miss it.

Keep checking on that. We went the first week of October last year and alot of things were not scheduled during the week, including Aladdin. Hmmm... let's see, last year we missed out on Aladdin, High School Musical Pep Rally, Ugly Bug Ball, and one other parade, oh yeah, I think the Princess Fantasy Faire wasn't running either. If I remember correctly, Aladdin was down for something like 10 days?? for them to be on "break". The other things we missed as we were there durning the week and not on a weekend. This year we are headed back in early October again, but I made sure to schedule a weekend into our dates this time. Oh! One other thing to remember, the fireworks didn't run every night either, I'm thinking those were weekend only events also.

Urgh.....I don't think I can shift the plan to be there on a Friday. I may miss Aladdin again this time.

You should be ok - Aladdin is usually down I believe Mon and Tues. Last year it was down for recasting - not sure how frequently they do it - but it was down for a while (not just during the week). We were there Sun - Thurs in Oct. and got to see HS Musical Pep Rally and the Princess Fantasy Faire. Aladdin was running, but we didn't make it. Fireworks and Fantasmic are Fri - Sun only - but you mentioned those weren't issues. I really think you should be fine

I agree with Dizzy. Not sure if you have seen them before, but for most people the DL fireworks and Fantasmic are awesome. Everyone must see them. But for anyone who plans to skip them, you should be OK mid-week. You will likely miss Block Party Bash and the Disney Electrical parade as well, and possibly High School Musical rally.
