Early October/How Hot

Going to the food and wine festival in early October to take advantage of our AP's before expiring. This year when we went, it was sooooo humid, we were misreable. Is this normal October weather?

its always still very hot in late sept./early thru mid oct.

It's also smack dab in the middle of hurricane season- so it is usually hot, sometimes stormy, frequently rainy, and ALWAYS humid.

We were there Oct 14-21 and I was suprised at how hot it was. Not like July of course but still very warm.

We were just there in mid October and it was super duper hot!! When the hurricane came through it cooled things off

We were there the last week of September and were miserable as well. We usually go in Dec/Jan and the only other time we ever went when it was hot was May of 1998 and we swore never again. Well this time was not as bad as then ( 1998 was an El Nino year and very hot and humid) but it still wasn't for us. We would rather sacrifice our park hours for cooler weather.

We were planning to go at the tail end of October/beginning of November, but switched dates to take advantage of the Free Dining promotion. Well, the Dining was great, but we decided that from now on, we'd wait until later, even if it meant we'd spend more on the trip. We just couldn't handle the heat, humidity, and rain!

It's amazing how much of a difference a few weeks makes- by the end of October, the weather usually improves vastly- still warm, but lower humidity, and the rain is gone for the most part.
