If you are not participating in Early Morning Magic, should you avoid visiting the park that offers it that day? My daughter are planning a MK day on August 18th, but it is Early Morning Magic. Just wondering if that will make the park more crowded when it opens to the public at 9:00 a.m.? If we go anyway, should we start in Fantasyland or one of the other lands? We've been many times, but I don't recall planning a touring strategy around EMM.

I think it's just a couple hundred people. I went on an EMM day (but not to EMM), I really don't think it impacted THAT much with the exception of some people heading to tomorrowland after they finished fantasyland. But we also got to the park after RD

No need to plan around Early Morning Magic at either park it is currently offered (MK & DHS). Too small a guest count and they are all dispersing throughout the park and/or going to eat the included breakfast come rope drop time.

Well, I can only give you my experience but we went to EMM at DHS and there is a humongous difference from when we went in December to now. EMM was awesome but the aftermath was truly a huge difference!! In December, when we went, we were able to ride SDD and TSMM multiple times and then went right to RNRC, ToT and ST without a problem. When we went in May, we left immediately after EMM because the line for RNRC and Tot were 90 minutes a piece. Perhaps we chose a bad day. We were so disappointed though and wound up taking the walking path to Epcot. Can't say specifically whether this affects MK as well, but just to let you know. We did the after hours at MK as well and were so happy with that so maybe it wa just DHS.

Would anyone that has recent experience with MK EMM care to weigh in? I had decided to keep our MK plans as they were, but now I'm second guessing it based on recent crowd reports and also tarajean1962's post above.

We went to MK on 7/7 and it was a EMM day. I honestly forgot about it and could not even tell that people had been in Fantasyland before us.

Just want to make sure you are aware, but Early Morning Magic is a ticketed event that has very limited attendance - so EMM days do not have any effect one way or the other on park volume - it's quite literally only a few hundred folks.

Extra Magic Hours are the early hours open to all onsite and good neighbor hotel guests. Those days I would say park volume is definitely affected, because of the sheer number of people who have access to the early hours.

Yes, I'm aware. Just asking if we should expect larger crowds (from EMM) that day when we arrive for rope drop. :goodvibes
