Have you done this, and did you think it was worth it? Would you go as far as advising people that aren't doing EMM to avoid the park on those days due to crowds? (We are rope drop people).

Have done DHS, loved it, perfect for us.
Have not done MK, I would have said never until doing DHS, now maybe.
Has zero impact on those not going, by time you enter most those folks are in restaurant eating.

Only difference is if you book PPO BOG in anticipation of early 7DMT ride ... likely you will be held back until just before opening.

Not only that, but isn't the number of tickets sold very low, like maybe 200?

Yes. When I went to DHS there was only about 18 families. We didn't have to get off on TSMM, just go round and round.

I have done both HS and MK. Loved both, I felt they were completely worth it. I'm doing MK again next week actually.

They don't sell very many tickets to these, it should not affect your rope drop experience at all.

I hope both are still offered in August. DD is not a breakfast person due to her egg free, gluten free and dairy free diet. But we would give it a try and save FP+ for other favourite rides. Pixie dust!! We are rope drop people too.

We did EMM at MK in early October. Rode Mine Train about 8 times, Peter Pan 3 times, the carousel once and Pooh twice. People with ADRs at restaurants before rope drop were waiting in line for Mine Train while watching us get off and back on in less than a minute (: We went in for breakfast at 9:45am. The food was still plentiful and hot. The cast members did not rush us or make us leave. Personally, these attractions are not my absolute favorite in the Magic Kingdom so I would pass on paying for it again. BUT, I do believe it is efficient and "worth it" if your goal is to do as much as possible in a short amount of time. My only regret was not taking the time to get some pictures on Main Street without the millions of people!

Thanks, everyone! This will be my boyfriend's first trip and we'll be there during a very crowded time (4th of July week!) and we want to make sure we can do as much as possible, so this may be worth it for us! The idea of riding 7DMT multiple times in a row sounds great.

Just fyi, when I went on July 5th, I was surprised at how low the crowds were, esp. before say 5:00 pm. Obviously I'd expect it is packed on the 4th, but the 5th really did shock me. That's a good rope drop morning IMO.

Not sure what she can eat but I will say at DHS one of my favorite parts was the fresh fruit ........ a good variety and very good - could have filled up on just that. Here in the photo you can see the several platters, then there was a good variety of drinks and a hot buffet area.

Thanks for posting the pic! I am planning to get some QS food for her as an early lunch. She is not celiac but egg, dairy and gluten worsen her asthma which gets worse in the heat. She will find something from the buffet.

:thanks:

We did BOTH MK and HS and loved it! The time really went by fast but would do it again if we went back.

This :thumbsup2

We loved it. We rode 7DMT seven times and most of the time we were told to sit anywhere we wanted because the train was empty. We rode TSMM five times before breakfast without gettting off, and we had our own private ride on Star Tours. It was really worth it, and I would definitely do it again. The breakfast provided was a great quality and exceeded my expectations. The only downfall is that the hour goes by so fast.

Our exact experience at HS. It was worth every penny, and would do it again in a heartbeat. MK wasn't available for emm during our stay. I might dare say that on our next trip, we might plan it so we can do both. Worth. Every. Penny. The food at Hollywood was better than I expected as well. That french toast, I thought it was gonna be an abomination, but..well, it was an abomination, but I ate a ton of it. EMM was well worth it for time saved if you like the rides on offer. After we entered, we didn't even see most of the other families. Maybe they went straight to characters or the buffet, but there were only a few other ppl on the rides. We also did few solo Star Tours flight. Got to the buffet at about 9:40, and stayed until about 10:15 just relaxing after gorging.
