Early Morning Magic worth it with SDMT and PPF FPs?

Our two lightsabers are in the corner collecting dust.

Just sayin’! :rotfl:
At least they're in the corner collecting dust! My kids got $140 lightsabers (from some online store - lights and action) a few years ago from Santa and broke them, but I have to say they got lots of use out of them before they broke, then they got 4 more lightsabers from Disney and broke those eventually too and now I'm torn because they want these of course! Then I bought foam ones which were cool because they were super cheap but those were mutilated as well.

Maybe I should buy some from people who have them collecting dust!

I am also hesitant about the EMM with a 5 and a 2 year old
Also Canadian so I ageee that the cost is hard to justify...
I am planning on deciding in the days before
If it’s sold out, the decision will be made for me!

Not trying to be an enabler, but with the 2 year old being free....

Another Canadian who feels your exchange rate pain.

Money aside, holding the FP that you do, and wanting your 5 year old to make it all the way to fireworks, I would not do EMM. I also kind of feel like, if I'm going to be paying a premium for something at WDW, it's not going to require me to still drag my family out in the morning as if we were doing rope drop. Not a huge fan of EMM here.

We have three kids so spent around $300 as well. I was expecting to feel ripped off, but I did think it was worth the money in the end. The thing about kids is they get off a fun ride and say "I want to go again" and you can't really do that once you've used your fastpass in regular hours. My kids were blown away by the ability to ride 7DMT over and over and over, and it was convenient to knock out everything else in Fantasyland as well with no wait. If you do get it, you can rebook your 7DMT and PP FPs to something else in MK.

Exactly this - you just can't replicate the "AGAIN!" that you get to hear over and over as you get off 7DMT and just go right back on. It's sooooo much fun. Really. One of our favorite memories from the last few trips....hands down.

i love the EMM. I especially love the one for TSL. We waited until the last 30 minutes of the event to do breakfast (we did stop by on our way in to TSL for a coffee and pastry) and the breakfast was really good. We did not have the dining plan on this trip since we were just two adults and we didn't eat again until dinner.

I really wish they would bring the TSL EMM back. It was worth the money.

Absolutely. Back when I was first starting to plan our trip, this was still a thing, and I absolutely was planning on doing it. The MK one has a lot more rides now, while Toy Story only has three, but still, my son is much more interested in that. Especially with the character meet and greets that are unlikely to happen at any other time. As it is, we're planning two days in Hollywood Studios instead of Magic Kingdom. I'm sure they'll probably do another one in a while that combines Toy Story Land and Galaxy's Edge and charge $200 for it, lol.

Yes, I think this will be my plan.

Does anyone know if it regularly sells out?

Well, after all of that, I went ahead and booked it. 😂

My plan is to stay until after the parade, and then leave and come back for the fireworks.

Touring Plans says that I should rope drop Dumbo and then Barnstormer before heading to breakfast. We're not doing a lot of the other big rides, because we have our five year old. He doesn't even want to do Buzz Lightyear, because he's decided he's afraid of the spiders, lol. I've changed our FPs to Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion (which he DOES want to do?!?), but I really don't know if this is the best plan. Originally I thought we would rope drop Enchanted Tales with Belle, but Touring Plans says to do it after lunch (at BOG).

With the big break in the middle of the day, the Touring Plans app is still having a hard time fitting everything in that we want to do. But, I think this is still a better plan, because I started thinking that even a regular morning rope drop all the way until fireworks would have been a hard day to get through. At least this gives a better chance to have a break.

But I'd love thoughts on what's best to rope drop -- Enchanted Tales with Belle, Dumbo / Barnstormer, Tomorrowland Speedway? Our final FP is an afternoon SDMT, just in case we want to ride it again, but I might drop it to be able to get more morning FPs.
