Early morning magic vs H&V ADR & Jedi Training

Hi, Everyone,

Going to disney saturday morning for the week.

We're planning on going to HS on Wednesday. We have H&V ADR at 830AM. Plan was for me to eat quick and run to get on line for Jedi, and then my wife and kids finish up and meet me over there (I know the kids need to be there to register).

The problem is, I was looking at the par hours today and it mentioned a special ticketed event that morning from 730-900. Assuming that is early morning magic.

Question is, will that kill my plan?
A - will I still be able to get into the park early for the ADR?
B - Will all the people who are doing early morning magic rush over to Jedi training line early as well?

Thanks

I was going to ask this exact question. We have the ADR at H&V but wondering if we should switch to EMM

When I was there, it was not an early morning magic day. So, your experience might be different.

I wound up getting to the park with just my two older kids about 20 minutes before opening. You could walk in, but they were blocking people from going down the street to the right and towards toy story land. You could go to the left, towards jedi training, without a problem. We walked right past H&V and were able to register for Jedi training before 9, even for my younger two who were not with me. I've heard that is a "your mileage will vary" type situation. Some days they make you wait, some days they make you have everyone there.

Artie, does being at H&V help you get out toward TSL any more quickly? It seems not? We have an 810am ADR at H&V for 10 days from now, it seems like it should guarantee a slot for the Jedi training but we could probably do that just by showing up around park opening. I'm thinking maybe we should cancel our ADR, or possibly check in and then assuming there's a delay, try to move it to later in the morning. The RD thing doesn't seem very pleasant to me

Jedi Training is much easier now that TSL is open. You really don’t need a PPO ADR to sign up. If you want to RD TSL, my suggestion is to do that first, then head over to JT. The only reason you would need to do JT first is if you want a very early or very specific time slot. Otherwise it shouldn’t be a problem if you go within the first hour of park opening.

Thanks - the more I think about it, the less I'm drawn to RD TSL. It just feels like an unpleasant way to start the day. I'm thinking perhaps we hit star tours a couple times after signing up for JT. Or do either of you have other suggestions? We have FPs for RnR around 11.
