For those of you who have done EMM, what was your plan of attack? What time did you eat breakfast? How many times were you able to experience the attractions?

We are going to EMM in October and I'm just trying to figure out what to expect and when we should eat to get the most bang for our buck so to speak.

There isn't many people in the park with you, it's a very limited ticket event and you'll get on the open rides all you want with little or no wait. Do breakfast after your done with the rides or after regular day crowds enter the park to get the most rides in.

We got there a bit late, and i was still able to ride 7D like 4 times, Pooh 2 times, and Pan 2 or 3 times. Breakfast should be toward the end of the event, after regular gate opening, when the lines start to build up a bit. We went to eat at about 9:30.

Arrive, ride PP and Pooh first, then 7DMT.
Reason is most of the rest of the guests go to 7DMT first. It will build a bit of a line, a short one but a line none the less. If you will ride the others first there will be no line at all by the time you reach it.
We are good with 1 trip on PP and Pooh. Both trips we got at least 10 rides in on 7DMT. We just stopped, vs running out of time.
We go to breakfast as the park opens to regular guests.

Worth noting, on both of our EMM days they also opened the Carousel. On the 2nd one they also opened Small World.
We rode the Carousel as we headed to breakfast on one trip but didn't ride on the other and didn't ride Small World at all.

Can someone please clarify.. I have seen a couple people post that EMM will give you all-day fp for the 3 fantasyland rides. Is this true?? If so that would be awesome!

Since you are already in the park so early, I would "rope drop" another area at park opening. Hit a few rides and then do breakfast at 9:30. Maybe Space, Buzz, Speedway? Or other Fantasyland rides if you don't want to walk so far.

That is incorrect.
You get unlimited access to PP, Pooh and Mine Train (at a minimum) from 7:45 till park opens at 9:00

That has only been reported when the rides were down/not running during the event as they should have been. It is NOT the norm.

Question for those who have done EMM: do you still get ride video/pictures of 7DMT during EMM? My thought was that there are so many people riding multiple times that it might be disabled (or something). Thanks!

This is kind of what I have in mind. If we get to do EMM, I'm hoping to take my daughters to meet Rapunzel at rope drop while the boys all head to Tomorrowland. After the M&G, we'll join them in Tomorrowland for whatever rides we can get done before 9:30, then head over to eat.

We went straight to PP since we had a FP for 7DMT later in the day, then did Pooh and headed over to SM and Buzz. If EMH is 8-9, and park opens to the public at 9, we would choose to eat Breakfast around 10, so we got the most of the morning low wait times! I usually ate a granola bar in the hotel in the morning to hold me over till then

If we decide to wait on purchasing tickets to EMM until we're already AT wdw, do we have to purchase them at the park? I assume we couldn't get them from the concierge desk at our resort. Can we get them at any park or does it have to be at MK?

I think you're talking about emh (extra magic hours) not emm (early morning magic). EMM is a separate ticketed event that includes early entry (before 8am I think?) and exclusive use of three rides (7DMT, PP and Pooh I think) until park opening. It also includes a breakfast buffet. Since you are paying a premium for the early access to 7DMT etc and breakfast it would be silly not to take advantage.

As for emh, we plan to employ the same strategy as you suggest. We have FP for the most popular attractions during our trip so we will spend the early hours focusing on moderately popular attractions that do build waits later on.

Sounds like a great strategy for extra magic hours! This thread is actually about Early Morning Magic - the paid pre-park opening event happening at MK and DHS on certain mornings.

We got to the end of the entry line just as it was opening up, but here's what we did:
3 rides on Peter Pan (they made us get off after the first ride, but not between the second and third)
2 rides on Pooh (finally spotted the picture of Mr. Toad handing over the keys, and they didn't make us get out in between rides)
7 rides on mine train (they make you get off, which is a shame because the last 2 or 3 times, there were empty trains heading out between when we were riding)
We then did Enchanted Tales With Belle, because we had always done it with FP before, and we wanted to see the inside of the house. We had to wait for 20 people to show up -- maybe 15 minutes -- and then we went to eat. PinnochioHaus was never even 1/2 way full while we were there, and the food was refreshed when it started to look old.

This was by far the best value event we did -- the kids were all about how awesome it was to have an empty park!

I would do the rides/character meets included with EMM until 8:45 or so. Then head over to someplace else for "rope drop." At MK, we went over to Tomorrowland. Plan

This is pretty much what we did, for both MK and HS EMMs, and it worked great. We hit a couple of other rides/M&Gs after 9 (actually 8:50 in MK due to BOG guests getting early access). We hit breakfast around 9:30-9:40 and had plenty of time to eat.

Just go with an idea of a couple of things that you would like to hit early and you should be able to get them done in no time at all. It's amazing what you get done on an EMM day.
