early morning magic or breakfast CP

hi, I was just wondering, if we manage to get a reservation for an 8.00 am breakfast at CP, would they let us in at the same time as the people who purchase early morning magic?

Yup, PPO ADR and EMM folks are all directed to the same spot outside of the MK gates (usually to the left side) and will be let in at the same time, which will be approx 7:45AM.

Yup. Regular guests line up to right outside of the MK. I have seen it where both sides are let in at the same time and I have seen the PPO/EMM side get a touch of a head start.

As with all morning park opening routines since things can change day to day, the YMMV caveat very much applies.

Then an 8 AM breakfast at Crystal Palace would get you into the park early

OP is talking about an EMM (the PAID event at MK) day, so MK will definitely open at 9:00 for that day. However, the normal opening time is 9:00 and gets changed to 8:00 during busier times. On all 9:00 opening days, Main St is open to everyone around 7:45-8:00.

thanks!! i didn't realize that main street was open for everyone. During our last trip, quite some years ago, getting a breakfast in the park before opening, allowed you to finish breakfast early and then hit the rides before the masses came through. I guess that's not the case anymore?

Not with Crystal Palace. If you finish breakfast early, you can only go so far as the Hub where everyone else will be as well. On a 9AM morning, the opening show will be on the castle stage at 8:55AM, after which the "ropes drop" at the hub spokes and the park is open / you're let further into the park.

People with BOG PPO ADRs are allowed past the Hub / behind the castle, and typically have a bit of an advantage in lining up for 7DMT first or heading deeper into the park.

EMM is about double the CP adult breakfast cost. But you get to ride PP, 7DMT and Winnie the Pooh without the crowds. So, basically about an extra $70 to get those rides in early.

There are some other perks to EMM. You've got your fill of two of the most popular rides at MK. You're in great position to hit some of the other headliners right at 9:00. The majority of the rope drop crowd will be heading to the rides you've already experienced, so your wait at BTMRR or Space Mtn or SM will be minimal and you can then go to breakfast. Breakfast is a buffet, so you can spend as much or as little time there as you like.

Also, if you're staying OFFsite, this is a great way to get into MK and have the fewest number of people in with you.
