Early Morning Magic in August - watching for ADRs to go live!

Us too! Looks like there will be a few of us on the 23rd! I am so excited to experience this!

Just to be clear, we won't be at the morning magic event on the 23rd, just in the park that day. We are doing morning magic on the 16th.

Just booked for the 9th! It means moving a bunch of things around, including hotel nights. One more night at Disney, one less at Universal. But worth it since I really wanted to do EMM!!

I hadn't been planning on this, but thought I'd check the dates when I saw this thread. We had an 8:05 CRT ADR for Aug 16 and decided to try this instead. Always cool to do something new in WDW!

We always do a CP PPO breakfast, and when they first announced these for May and I mentioned it to my DH he suggested we do this instead of the CP breakfast. At first I was reluctant, because I am a creature of habit and I really like the CP and the Pooh characters, but after I processed it for a while I came around and decided it made sense. We got to try something different, still get breakfast, and got to ride a lot in the precess. Now we are going the same thing again in August. I did book a CP breakfast (not PPO, we don't like too many early mornings ) for another day which we may or may not keep. But my point was (I'm getting there) that I think if you usually do a PPO ADR then transitioning to this is a great alternative, and it really makes the price not bad. It is more than the breakfasts, but if you subtract what you were going to pay for breakfast and consider that the price of this event, it doesn't seem as bad and you do get multiple rides on two of the most popular rides in the park. Just my opinion, but food for thought.

I agree, we had a PPO For BOG for later in the week that I am canceling. I think this is a better deal too. Also, with Disney changing hours like they did for June (now opening at 8 many mornings) a PPO ADR is never a guarantee. This is a more concrete plan. We are so excited!! Now only if they would bring back DAH, my trip would be complete!

We did EMM on May 17 and DAH on May 19, and it made for an amazing week enjoying the MK. I'm so glad we happened to have a trip planned that week! We loved both events, but DAH was truely amazing. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I went to cancel my BOG the morning of the 31st of July and booked the EMM and did not realize it only relates to (3) rides...my girls don't really like those rides except maybe dwarfs and we have fast passes for 7DMT so I went back to my BOG ADR, 3 rides are totally not worth $210 for us, since they don't have early opening on the days they have EMM anyway.

We have a PPO ADR at BOG on Tuesday August 16 that we will be keeping even though that is an EMM day.
We'll still get into the park before RD crowds, we like the breakfast at BOG, and we might get to ride SDMT before the masses hit. Works for us. And at least now I know they won't change MK's opening from 9am to 8am making my PPO ADR not so great.

That is a good point. If July and August hours follow June, for those still wanting a PPO BOG reservation, the safest day to book would be an EMM morning.
