Early Morning (Hot) Breakfast Options

We are rope drop park visitors and would prefer to get a hot breakfast before starting at the parks, but in my searching I am struggling to find anywhere that will be open early enough for us. We plan to do the morning Extra Magic Hour and we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. The breakfast at POR opens at 6am only for coffee and pastries or grab and go items, then opens at 7am for hot items. If we need to be at the parks by about 7:40 for an 8am open we just won't have time to wait for the hot items to be available (or will we?!).

Are there other options I am not aware of that would help meet this need? We are typically Disneyland visitors, so the La Brea bakery always has us covered for a breakfast sandwich we can munch on while waiting for the gate to open. This is our second visit to WDW and I don't recall this being an issue 5 years ago but I haven't a clue what we did during that visit!

Some more specific details to assist with feedback:
-The two park days that we have the EMH are for Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom which should both open for EMH at 8.
-When I say hot breakfast, I really mean some kind of breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito with higher protein and lower sugar.
-On our Magic Kingdom day it is not an EMH day, but do they open Main Street early to get breakfast there before rope drop the way Disneyland does? If so, does anyone know what specific places are open for food typically during that time?

If the answer to this is that we are SOL in our quest for early bird dining, then as an alternative I am curious what in-park quick service breakfast options exist in HS, AK and MK that might be good to visit around 10-11am after our mad rush for rides.

Thanks in advance for the guidance everyone!

In the park I think the only hot breakfast item are hot breakfast sandwiches in Starbucks.

Then other places open for lunch at 11:30. The only quick service breakfast I can think of that isn't Starbucks is Mexico in Epcot.

I would just be at the food court at 6:55 for a 7am hot breakfast and you should still make it to the park for 8am opening, especially if you can go from the food court straight to the bus.

That's what we do. Eat and beat feet to the bus.

I have a couple of suggestions. It sound like you are looking more for a QS location?

You might want to do the breakfast bar, fruit, yogurt route, or cereal in room. Then be ready for rope drop, hit a few rides then breakfast, or the coffee and pastries route at the resort. Then grab some breakfast at Starbucks, on main street but it will crowded, or wait hit a couple of rides then head for a early lunch.

Character meals will get you into the park before rope drop. They do not open main street early like at Disneyland.

Over at AK there is a Rainforest Cafe that serve breakfast ( the one at DS does not serve breakfast) while a TS they open at 8:30 time shown on Disney... but I will say I think that we have had breakfast here during Christmas Holiday around 7:30am. I would call to see if they have the hours for your visit. Tusker house character buffet will get you into the park early before opening.

We have some friends that go the frozen breakfast sandwiches, burritos, etc..( they keep them in the in room frig) and warm them up in the microwave, also they have done pop tarts, toaster strudels and such. They stay at AoA in a family suite. With 3 hungry kiddos to get up dressed and out of the room they found that this works great, they use garden grocer for a grocer delivery.

Thanks, this is kind what I already figured we would need to do so it is nice to know that it is possible to pull off.

Lots of great suggestions there, thank you! Yes, looking for QS with eggs in some form as the primary goal. We don't really do cereal and yogurt, but I like what your friends do of having some frozen items in their room fridge. Our Epcot day has a PPO breakfast reservation but we did Tusker House last trip and were disappointed and would prefer not to go back.

It's a bit of a walk from HS, but you could go to either the Boardwalk Inn or the Beach Club and get a hot meal at their quick serve places.

At MK, it's a quick monorail ride to the Poly and Captain Cook's to get an early morning breakfast to go.

I love the starbucks egg white feta spinach wrap. it may not be as hearty as a full breakfast burrito but for only 220 cals or something it holds its own. I acutally like all of the starbucks breakfast sandwiches even though they are not made to order.

For what it's worth, we've included pre-cooked hard boiled eggs in our Garden Grocer order. It's not hot, but it is a convenient way to get protein early, without waiting for places to open. We've also included cereal for carbs and fiber.

Hard boiled eggs is a good idea and we may do that. At home we often do breakfast sausage that we heat up, so we could order that through a grocer.

If you are staying at POR, you won't have a microwave in your room. There will be a microwave that you can use in the food court though.

Thanks for pointing that out! I would have planned with the assumption that we had one.
