Am I crazy for wanting to try it in Sept? i know Sept is less crowded but should I avoid it in Sept? Has anyone done it in Sept?

EMH is fine in September. You don't really need to use it unless you just like getting an early start though. I think the longest we have ever waited in September was 15 minutes maybe 2 or 3 times in two trips.

No need to get to EMH unless you, like the other poster said, are just an early riser. This will be our third time the first week of September...so I can tell you that for that week at least, there are no lines to be found...

We do the MK every morning and then go to another park (except when we do AK so we can see the animals early) and we ride everything that we like each morning that we go. It is a wonderful time to do the World!

Since the park hours are shorter in September, you might want the extra hour just to see all you want and spend more time in the parks. I hope to go the end of Sept/early Oct with my 4yo and would plan to do EE. I then plan to go with my 4yo to meet my sister and my 81yo mother in early Dec. That trip we will be staying offsite in a condo and will avoid the EE park each day. My mother doesn't have the endurance that the rest of us have so that will work out well (she needs the extra hour in the morning to drink all her coffee and putz around the condo...).

One of the great advantages of EMH in Sept. is the (relatively) cooler temperatures and less humidity in the morning. Also, it rains a good deal in Sept. in the afternoons, so you are a hour ahead of the showers. :earsgirl:

We have gone many times in Sept. At first, I had us up doing every EMH, but quickly realized that a lot of the rides at MGM and Epcot that were open on EMH were not rides my kids could handle (RNR, TofT, Test Track etc.). Now, I usually do one MK EMH and AK EMH (to get on the Safari ride first thing) during our stay, but other than that, we sleep a little longer and go to a park that does not have EMH. I agree that it pays to get going to a park when it first opens as the heat and humidity is still really strong in Sept and we are zapped by 1:00 and head back to hotel to swim and relax until about 4pm and then head back to parks/restaurants. Sept is great as you can accomplish so much with low crowds!

We love September! We do EMH at Animal Kingdom so that we can do the safari first thing to see the most animals. But you don't really have to do EMH at the other parks because the smaller crowds are very manageable. It's amazing what you can get done!
