Early Morning Entrance @ Cal. Grand Hotel

Hi Everyone,
My family are going to DL & I just wanted to get a few things answered before leaving...
1. In the California Grand Hotel, are there only 2 turnstiles at the entrance to California Adventure(I understand the entrance is next to The Napa Rose Restaurant)?
2. I heard there are 10 turnstiles at an other location... where would this be at?

The two entrances to Disney California Adventure are the entrance that you talked about inside the Grand Californian and the main entrance in the Esplanade, just across from the entrance to Disneyland.

You must've heard the recommendation NOT to use the GCH entrance for early entry. This is correct. Use the main entrance for early entry to DCA.

Hi Greg!
We were just at Disneyland in late June and I agree. Don't use the Grand Californian entrance to California Adventure during early morning opening. We exited the hotel and walked over to the regular gates. They held us at bag check until 15 minutes before park opening. After that we lined up at the regular gates. Upon entry, we got right in line for RSR and were on the ride by 7:10am. After RSR we were able to ride California Screamin. Both mornings we were there, however, Toy Story Mania did not open until regular park opening time. Right at 8am we went back and got FP for RSR for later in the day.

We talked to others who waited at the GC entrance who said it took them 30 minutes to get through the line that same morning! It is nice to use that entrance at other times of the day and especially to return to the hotel mid day or at park closing.
