This weekend I had two early breakfasts.

I was staying at Pop Century.

On Saturday morning, I had 7:30 ADR for Boma. I arrived at the Animal Kingdom Bus Stop about 6:45. About 7:05 an Animal Kingdom bus arrived. I told the driver I was going to the Lodge for breakfast and he told me he would take me there. I arrived for my breakfast in plenty of time.

On Sunday morning, I had 7:40 ADR for Cape May breakfast. I arrived at the Studios bus stop at 7:05. About 7:15, a Studio bus showed up. There was one other party on the bus. He asked us both where we were going. The other party was actually trying to get to Carribbean Beach to meet family. He dropped them off directly to Carribbean Beach, then dropped me off at Beach Club.

So true to form, if you have an early breakfast, if you show up at the busses about 7am you should get taken directly to where you need to be!!

Glad to hear it worked out so well for you. I made reservations at Boma for breakfast as well and I was trying to decide if I should drive or try and take the bus. I think we'll go ahead and use the AK bus.

Well Carol, you once again prove that all of those with jitters about making early morning ADRs using the Disney bus sytem are worrying unnecessarily. It is reassuring to know that the great professionals wearing the purple pants take such good care of us.

Ok...so there really is such a thing as BREAKFAST buses? Buses that run before any of the parks open that will take you DIRECTLY to your resort? I have three early ADR's planned for my trip in June (7:30ish) and was all set to take a taxi...but now this makes me think differently. Is it ALWAYS this easy and reliable?

99.99% of the time.

The have been posts about busses not showing up.

What happens to screw things up is that first thing in the morning, the driver does a bus inspection. If for whatever reason, the bus doesn't pass, then he goes to another bus and starts the procedure all over again. If he was scheduled to do the MK from AKL (for example), he will be late if you were planning on catching the first bus to get to CM at the CR.

The last time we were there it was a really slow week. The bus driver who took us to our early PS at AK told us that the early buses were all scheduled to start at 7:15am that week (no earlier).

I think it depends when you go. I'd ask a bus driver on your first day what the schedule was that week.

We've always found the early buses to be reliable and the drivers especially helpful. And once, when a bus didn't come for our CRT breakfast (of course), a valet from WL drove us over to MK in a disney van. Very nice.

Thank you for this information! We're planning multiple early breakfast next June and this information makes me feel better.

We've taken the MK bus to Chef Mickey's (Contemporary) & 'Ohana (Polynesian) for the character breakfasts before the parks open multiple times from POP & have never had a problem :)

Also, if you are staying at Wilderness Lodge or Ft. Wilderness, there is usually a boat to the Contemporary about 6:30 am. (Since Ft. Wilderness doesn't have a Food Court, I like to go to the Food & Fun Center at Contemporary for my morning Hot Chocolate, banana, and bagel)
