We have booked CRT for 8.10am and I was just wondering how much time we should allow to get to MK? We're staying at CSR.

We have always travelled to MK using Disney transportation, but am I right in thinking the buses won't be running this early? We have a hire car so there's no problem driving to MK, I would just like to have an idea how long it takes (approx) to get from the car park into MK itself? :)

There might be buses running - check with the front desk. We were able to get a bus from AoA at about 7:30 a.m. on a day the park officially opened at 9. There usually is a bus for early ADR's, just be sure to check what time.
(and if you don't get an answer the first time, check back - I asked about the bus at check in and was told there were no early buses but when I called the front desk later was given the time to be at the bus stop)

There might be early buses, but even if the concierge tells you it will pick up passengers the next day at 7:30am you cannot be guaranteed that the bus will be there at all ( I was just thinking about Lee's mishap when the bus driver "forgot" to stop at her hotel a few weeks ago)

if you have early ADR in the parks, you need to notify your front desk at least 24 hours in advance (some kind of putting you on the list) but no guarantee.

On the one hand, the bus gets you at MK's gates, on the other hand you may not get there on time.

Taking the car means you'll need to park at TTC. You'll be pretty close to the monoral/ferry boat if you arrive early, but you still need to allow at least 20 to 30 minutes to transfer from the parking lot to MK's entrance, including security and ticket control.
CRT is also quite far from the entrance.

I would take the car, because even if you caught the early bus at 7:30 at CSR that's really tight for a 8:10 ADR at CRT
and with the car I would allow at least a full hour to get to CRT, to be on the safe side.

(I'm not a big fan of the buses anyway :rotfl: )

Thanks for the advice, I think we will take the car to be on the safe side and allow plenty of time :)

Chmurf - I enjoy getting the Disney buses, especially the Pop ones, I love the music :goodvibes
