Early Morning ADR at Chef Mickeys

Hi all.....

We are going to be at the World July 11-18 and we have a very early (7ish) res. at Chef Mickey's on the 16th. I am concerned about getting there that early and figured that the best way to do it would be to get a cab that morning to take us to the Contemporary and then we will be going to Epcot so we could just take the monorail from the Contemporary there. Does that sound like the best plan and if anyone has ever taken a cab to a res. like that before can you give me an idea of what the cost was. BTW we are staying at POFQ so we would be taking the cab from there.

They do have Character Breakfast Buses that come to the resorts in the morning and drop you off in time for your Breakfast.

You could take the bus to MK and then walk the pathway to the CR. It takes only about 5 min to walk it.

We are going on the same travel dates and we have a 7 am at Chef Mickey's on Thursday too. See you there! Last August we had a 7 am at CM and took a cab from All Star Music- I think it was around $20-$25 with tip for our family of 4. We will take a cab again for this early ressie from the Beach Club this year.
Heading to Epcot on the monorail from the Contemporary will be easy. Last year, we took a bus to Hollywood Studios after, around 8:30 or so. It was during TS Faye and we were the only ones on the bus.

We have a 7:20am Chef Mickey's ressie and we're staying at the BC. I am already factoring in the cost and time to take a cab. I don't want to stress out worrying about Disney transportation that early in the morning.

Thanks everyone for all the info.....I think I will check on that character breakfast bus when we check in and see how that works and if it looks like it may cause a little to much stress on my part I may decide to go with the cab...... $20 - $25 is a very reasonable amount to spend for me to keep my sanity

Nate.....that is great, maybe we will see each other there.....this is our first time finally in 5 trips to be able to go to Chef Mickey's and I am sooooo excited . We have finally hit the 80's on our days to go.

The monorail usually starts running at 7 am.

We also have early reservations 7:15 on Mother's Day! We are staying at AKL and just plan on getting the bus around 6:30 am that morning! I know it's early but we will all be very excited to get there -- or we will have our car there also -- so I guess we could drive but I enjoy using Disney's transportation.

What else did you get for that week? We will be doing Cape May Clambake, Le Cellier, MM Fantasmic, Boma dinner, San Angel, Kona Breakfast and of course, CM. Can't wait!!!

I didn't have a problem at all thank goodness We are not on the dining plan this time so we are doing alot of CS meals during the week, the only other TS we will be doing is LTT on the 12th. I am just so excited about Chef Mickey's I can't stand it
