early morn. hrs. vs late night hrs.

Was anyone there for both the earl and late or extra eve. hrs 5 8-18 th (thats when I was there). I'm wondering how people like the late night hrs. I love them. I found it so easy to move around the park. No lines for rides or shows. My kids love to swim. I would take them back to the resort for 3 -4 hrs, rest a bit. and hit the park again. I also liked the early am hrs. I prefered the extra 3 hrs at night. This combination of early vs late worked well for my family.

Any others out there like or dislike the hrs?

I didn't experience the late hours, but I hope they keep them. I hate waking up early on vacation yet feel like I'm wasting something by not being at the gates at sunrise. My last trip I felt like I was always tired.

Our kids are still young (3 and 6) and need between 10 and 11 hours of sleep each night. Our last trip (this April), the earliest we were able to arrive at any park was 8:45 and the latest we stayed was 9:30. So to answer your question - neither EMH or LMH do much good for our family right now - I'm sure things will be different in a few years.

Question..isn't this for resort guests only? I can see how they can check this to let you into the parks, but how do they enforce this in the evening? Do they go around and ask everybody for a room key? Like they do the wristbands for MVMCP or MNSSHP?

what happens babz is that you get the pass AT your disney resort and around 4:00 in the park they give you your wrist band...

I can not and WILL not get up that early so I LOVED The evening extra magic hour! IT was actually extra 3 hours so it was great!!!

We never make out the hotel room for early mornings hours. So we like the late hours that WDW have.

well there are 4 of us in my family. myself and DS#2 are morning people while DW and DS#1 are definitly night owls. so as a family we are split right down the middle as to preference.

if i had to make one choice i would prefer the extra night hours. besides the 3 extra hours that are great, i could do whatever i wanted in the morning, walk around the resort, do a tour nobody else wants to do and not feel like i am wasting any time.

i am a morning person but getting the others ready for EE mornings is not easy.

someone offeres me an extra 3 hours at a WDW park ill take it!!

I would prefer the late hours. It's 3 more hours as opposd to the 1 hour in the mornings, so that's a definite plus. And it's cooler in the evenings. We'd just be sure to take a late afternoon rest at the hotel before heading back out for the late night. Even if we have to pay extra, like for e-nights, it would be worth it to me.

We love the late hours. I can remember when I was little and during the summer the MK regularly stayed open late. Nothing like riding space mountain at 1:00 in the morning or closing the park at 2:00 am riding the grand prix.

We are going to do E-nights this year - with our DD's (6) and (8). The (8) really enjoyed it last year.

We did the late hours at MK, DS (twice) and Epcot. Loved the MK as we really did walk on the rides. At the Studios we had to be a bit more strategic and use fast passes, but still well worth it. At Epcot I was disappointed. Only 2 countries, which we had already done earlier in the day were open, and Innoventions still closed at 7 p.m. Test track was an absolute zoo with a 45 minute wait. We had a fastpass, but the return line up was at least a 30 minute wait - so we ended up heading back to the resort around 11 disappointed.

We also did a couple of EMHs in the mornings and I found them busier than in previous trips.

Still on the fence about which I like better.

WE loved the night hours. Walked on every ride in epcot and MK the only 2 nights we did it.

WE had to show our room key at desinated point 2 hours before reg closing and got a wrist band.
