Early may?

How is the first weekend of may, like crowd wise?

Jumping in here 'cause I want to know the same thing. Thinking of going for the Flower and Garden gig.

Me, too. I am HOPING that since Easter is kind of late next year (i.e mid April instead of March), that lots of folks will come for Easter and then the next couple of weeks might be a bit on the quiet side. Have been before in Feb., March, April (Easter), July, Nov., and Dec. Only two times I would never go again are Easter (too crowded) and July (MAJOR heat and humidity PLUS crushing crowds...not a good combination if you can avoid it!)

If I could pick any time of the year to go, it would be the first week of May.

we went this past May 3-10 it was great! We definately saw a difference when the celebration started but overall- longest wait 30 min for Peter Pan,saw lots of characters, not too hot a little rainy (wear a poncho and walked onto many rides) it was a great time!

We went in May 2004 and now we cant wait to return in May. Great weather, manageble crowds and good park hours!

Went in May 2003 first week and am going again in 2006. The weather was warm and not humid and the crowds were not that big. The Flower and Garden Festival is very nice as well.

Early May is a lovely time to tour WDW. The weather is close to perfect. Most kids are still in school so the crowds are quite manageable. Two weeks later it's hot as all get out and much more crowded.

May is very lovely to go to WDW. Like the others said, the crowds are trimmed, the weather is just lovely and the flower and garden fesitval is so impressive! There's more elbow room, the characters aren't quite as tied up and you don't have to worry about passing out due to 100 degree weather! All in all, I really reccommend it

We've been going the 2nd week in May since our first trip and wouldn't go any other time. Crowds are managable, weather is great, and most kids are still in school. Looking forward to next May!
