Early May???

WE have changed our plans to go from first 2 weeks in June to first 2 weeks in May. We are HOPING that there will be less crowds and that it won't be soooo humid. Can anyone tell me if we will still be fighting the rains and heat during this time or should we try to get a cabin? Thanks for your input-Julie

Early May last year was hot and humid, but not more so than June. Crowds are totally bareable. It is my favorite time to go. A much better time than June.

I don't understand your asking about getting a cabin? Are you in a camping site and thinking about a cabin? Nights are wonderful in May so you won't be too hot to stay outside. It is hot and humid though. Last year was a bit of a wierd stint I think and it was in the nineties during our stay. Check out historical weather data.

We totally want to camp,but we were wondering if it would be soooo hot at night we won't be able to get a good nights sleep..AND do you know if it rains EVERYDAY like it does in the summer? If the weather is not favorable for camping-then we might opt for a cabin. Thanks-Julie

We were at FW this May 8th (my birthday trip) and it was empty, at least during the week. The weekend we were there was pretty full, but Monday it just emptied out.

We always try and go to WDW in May (and October), at least the last 6 years or so, and it is usually very pleasent.

Not sure if FW is always this way in May, this was first May visit, but it was almost spooky ...

May is much dryer than June but it will still be hot in the daytime but nights are very nice. May is as late in the spring as I would want to camp down here without A/C.
