Early June DVC

I am thinking of renting points for early June 2013. Would like to stay at the (resort & room type removed). Have rented 3 times before from the same person and stayed at AKV and BWV where she is an owner. So, I know she would not be able to rent (resort removed) until the 7th month mark. Do you think there would be any studios left at that time or should I try to find someone else who owns at the (resort removed) so they can rent at the 11th month mark. Nothing is definite yet but trying to figure out my options. Thanks.

I think that you have found an owner that you are comfortable dealing with, and I would stick with them. At 7 months, it is possible you will find the accommodation you wish, but I would also have a 2nd choice of resort just in case.

We are early June regulars and own at BWV and SSR. This coming June at the seventh month mark the only resorts available were AKL, VWL, OKW, and SSR. The VWL was gone within a day or so and AKL was gone within a week. If you are wanting to stay at BCV, BWV, or BLT I would recommend renting from another DVCer.

It would be less risky to find another DVC member. We always go in June and book right at the 7 month window and never had a problem. We have booked a two bedroom at BLT at the 7 month mark but there were just a few available. This year we booked two studios at Beach club at the 7 month mark with out an issue.

I am curious as well since we will probably be early/mid June people now the DD will be in school and I really want to try a few new villas next June.

We have made early June reservations at several of the DVC resorts at the 7 month mark without any problems at all. The only time we had even the slightest issue was last year at BLT - we were waitlisted for a MK view - and it came through for us.

Just have the owner call right at the opening 7 month mark date.
