Early June 2005 trip, reservation and rates?

I think the reservationinsts idea on booking now changing later was right on. I know that I should have made my reservations already, I just have not gotten around to it. Please e-mail me direct if you wish to stay in touch. What dates exactly are you going and where do you plan on staying?

Want those codes! We are planning a June 16 trip! The codes will sure help the budget! Can I get the dining plan ( I think its a deal for us) with our room without buying the park passes? Does it have to be a package? TIA

You and me both. I think you have to buy a complete package in order to add on the dining option. By a complete package I mean room, tickets and dining option. I think all the people in the party have to have the same tickets and all have to have the dining option.

We stayed at CSR last Oct. with an email code of 79.00, it is nice and quiet there. princess:

Do you have any idea what triggered the E-mail code? I'd love to get one for our June trip.

We went to WDW last year for the 1st time in 10 years. We visited from May 22nd to May 29th and we were able to get the 7 for 4 DreamMaker package through Disney Visa at the time.

We originally had booked 3 rooms at Pop Century at $69 per night on the Disney Visa code. I think the Moderates were going for $89 per night on the Disney code. I think the AP codes and Disney codes came out first, then the regular codes came out a little later.

We are planning to go back this summer again (Yes, I'm hooked now!). We were planning on going from June 3rd thru June 11th....but, we have decided to move our trip back a week to June 10th thru June 18th instead.

We are moving our trip back a week because Gay Week is from June 2nd thru June 6th at WDW.

I don't have anything wrong with homosexuality....but, I don't want to expose my 5 year old to it just yet....especially not for the 1st time at Disney World. If it was just my wife and I going, I would have no problem going during Gay Week.

Just for everyone's information....

Thursday, June 2nd = Gay Day at MGM
Friday, June 3rd = Gay Day at Epcot
Saturday, June 4th = Gay Day at Universal Studios IOA
Sunday, June 5th = Gay Day at Magic Kingdom
Monday, June 6th = Gay Day at Animal Kingdom

Alot of people have told me just to go and avoid those certain parks on those days. I figured if I'm laying down over $2,000 for a vacation, I shouldn't have to "avoid" anything.....

Again....I have nothing against Gay Day....I just don't want to expose my 5 year old son to that behavior just yet......

So.....let the waiting begin for June codes!!!!!

Been there done that. I remember having to explain to my then 7 year old daughter why those men were holding hands. She was ok with it as was I.

Also going in June! The 12th thru 18th. My MIL sent me an email today that she got a PIN code for $59 for a value. Anyone else get this? How do the ones with a PIN work, anyone know? Will I be able to use my MIL's PIN? She is going too. Hope we can apply it to our reservations, it would be a big savings! Oh, what are AP codes? (I know nothing! )

ebarj1098,

I don't know much about PIN codes, but I would definitely call Disney to see if you can apply that code...that is an excellent rate for June on a value resort. Since your MIL's name is on your reservation, they should let you use the PIN...but, you never know. It's definitely worth the phone call.

AP Codes are codes for Annual Passholders. Disney usually takes care of it's annual passholders and gives them the best rates by releasing these codes. Annual Passes are tickets to Disney Theme parks that are good for 1 year.

I think the AP code during the regular season for a value resort was $59 last year....so, that PIN code rate is an excellent rate for a non-annual passholder.

This may be an indicator as to what the AP rate may be for that time period. I've noticed that these PIN code rates are usually the same as the AP rate in most instances.

Did anyone receive PIN code rates for other hotels (moderates, deluxes, etc) for June yet?

THE email is in your MIL name then she has to be the one to call and put the res. in her name that is why they give you the pin#. I am always checking my mail for the postcard or email for deals. I don't know what triggered the send to me but, they can send one right now if they want....LOL We went in June 03 then again in April and Oct. of last yr.. I rec'd two postcards and an email last yr. nothing yet this year but it is only Jan. fingers are crossed. princess:

Everyone is talking about a PIN code but no one really said how we can get it, like where do we sign up. I gave my email when I made my reservation and I signed up on the disneyworld site and the wdwinfo site. But I havent received anything.

Another thing, did anyone see the message about the weather in June. Didnt sound too good, they all said hot, crowded and alot of rain. I knew it would be hot, but I was hoping not too crowded and I sure didnt think of rain. :guilty:

PIN codes, whether they're in an email or a postcard, are one of Disney's greatest mysteries. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to who gets them or how often. The last postcard that we got was for my DS. At the time he was 10 years old. I don't think that Mickey was aware of that!

AP = Annual Passports: This pass gives you unlimited entrance into the 4 main parks for an entire year, except for special ticketed events. The pass is valid for 365 days from date of purchase. Renewals must be made before the pass expires. Annual Passholders are entitled to some discounts.

Room discounts of this type of some of the best but are short in supply and not always available.

If your MIL is going with you you should have no problem using the discount code. $54.00 is a good rate because duiring regular season for a standard view room at a value resort the rack rate is $99.00. Jump on it.

I found 10 day no expiration Magic Your Way tickets for 306.00 with tax. Shipping by mail would be 10.00 but the tickets can be delivered to the hotel for 5.00. We only need 4 days for our June trip which I was going to purchase with expiration at $196.50 shipping/tax included but decided it may be wise to buy these 10 day tickets instead. We will have 6 days left for a future visit at 18.67 per day. Even if I end up with an AP I may still get this one for my daughter. Do you think this is a smart deal?

We are also going June 10-18 Rented points for a 2bdrm villa for 4 nights and were planning to go to UO for the last 3, but the UO hotel prices are way too high (more for 2 rooms for 3 nights than the 2bdrm at OKW for 4 nights) so we will be looking for discount for 2 rooms at WDW for the last 3 nights and buying 7 day Magic my ways instead fo 5 day. Too Bad UO

We're planning on going June 13-20 and I sure would like a code if one would become available. I also NEVER get codes by email or postcard.

All I ever get is the DVC postcards and haven't been able to talk DH into that yet. LOL

I am slowing hearing about the Values at $59 and the moderates at $79, but I am not seeing it yet. Where are they coming from? When do we start seeing the rates drop? Do we have to wait till about Mar or Apr? This is my 1st time at a Disney Resort, but my 5th time at Disney. Thought it was about time I did the real deal!!!!!! :D

Where have you heard that someone has gotten those rates? I pretty much have been checking every day for an AP or room only discount and have not seen anything yet. For a moderate I pretty much don't expect to see $79 for the period of time that we are talking about, June. Happy would be $104.00 without tax, really happy would be $84.00. Let me know what thread, link you saw those rates. According the Mousesavers if they evern offer a discount for June it may be anytime in January. I have heard from others that we may have to wait until March.

Last year they sent me a pin number in the mail. We paid $59.00 a night at the All Star Music Resort in June! I found the letter to see what the postmark was and there wasnt one! I think we got it in April. We already had a reservation. We called to use the pin and got a great deal! Our room was in the back so it meant more walking! We were having such a good time we didnt care!
