DS finished school in June next year, so as a well done treat, Im going to take him to WDW again, looking at first 2 weeks of july, or as soon as he finishes school really.
Ive been late july /early august, and the heat and humidity isnt a problem for us,but whats the rain like at this time of year?, the 2 times I have been, its been torrential down pours, and not just the odd shower in the afternoon, as always described!!

Looking at possibly 10 days, as other family members might be joining us, staying onsite, but unsure of where yet LOL.

Feeling very excited today, when looking on the net and the thought of going back yet again:banana: :cool1:
so any help with regards to weather would be great.
Jules

Hi Jules,

In our experience July and August are similar rainfall wise, afternoon thunderstorms are a regular occurrence but you don't tend to get the persistent all day rain we get in the UK.

I was going to say the heat/humidity is the big problem, it certainly is for Julie and Josh but if you can cope with that you will be fine.

Don't forget 4th July celebrations they make the parks packed.

We have been last week of June/first week in July and the weather was hot and humid but we did only have afternoon storms and then not every day.

We didn't stay in Orlando for 4th July itself we went to the coast but before we left the parks were getting busier.

The other thing to bear in mind that the majority of the US schools will have finished for Summer at that time ( or at least they used to).

Hope this helps

Elise

Who can predict the weather? We were expecting lots of rain especially afternoon thunderstorms going the last 2 weeks in July 05/06 and you know the first year we had two downpours of a short duration, the second one thunderstorm one night and a light downpour one afternoon and that was that. However, interestingly enough reading trip reports over the same period people had experienced heavy rain when we didn't just because they were in a different part of Orlando. So I suppose we must have been in the right place at the right time the majority of the time.:) We go expecting rain, then if we don't get it, it is a bonus. However, with the humidity some days I would have liked to have just got soaked through.
