Early January - busy or not?

Hi all,

Thinking of booking again for January.

Probably thinking about 2nd - 8th, something like that.

Will it be busy or will it be quiet?

An alternative date would be the UK half term holidays in February - would that be busier or quieter than the January slot?

I have no idea how busy it will be, i will find out when i get there lol. Though it does seem a lot of us DISers are going early January so it could possibly get busy.

I've never visited in January so I can't help I'm afraid, I do however think it would be a great time to go because I usually feel a bit flat come January once Christmas is all over and done with. Half time could possibly be a bit busier due to families wanting to go but going when it isn't as expensive. But I'm sure there are some experts on here who'll be a better judge to say

We were there 11th-15th January 07.... and the parks were quiet .Walkons to most of the rides we managed to do BTM 4 times in 25mins

The Saturday and Sunday were very busy

But it could all be different this year as Emma said there are a lot of DISers going this year. A lot of folk might be trying to catch the end of the 15th.

Hope its not too busy as we are there at that time - along with most of the DIS board by the sound of things!

Think we're gonna have to come up with a plan to wear something that makes us all easy to spot!!

we were there from the 6th to the 11th and it was very quiet except for the saturday.
we had great weather most days too.

Lime Green Mickey Heads are worn by DISers in the parks so they are easily seen.

What I can tell you is the 2nd and 3rd will be extremely expensive if you plan to stay on Disney property. We arrive on the 4th, flight was better for the 3rd but to arrive one day earlier would have cost as follows at the Santa Fe.

3rd-8th : £814
4th-9th : £366

Guess which we chose.

So worth while checking out the options.

The previous times we've been were early September and the middle of June - so I'm sure whatever happens, January or February will be an improvement with queue times.

Plus, we'll be staying in Bussy again - and getting park tickets for FIVE days.

I am hoping January will be quiet and it will just be us DISers there,

Oh I looked at february half term and could not get any decent flight time, only 9pm going and 7am coming home so we would of missed two whole days at Disney!

I will take a photo when i have found my LGMH's as they are hiding away. But they are just small Mickey heads in lime green lol. My lovely friend from America got them for me from there home depot store.
