Early Flight and DME

I will be taking my sixth trip to the world this fall, the second with my family. I used Magical Express on my last trip, had a good experience and am looking forward again.

This trip I have a early return flight at the end of my vacation. My flight departs at 7:30AM I'm staying at POP and have a couple questions.

1 - Does DME start early enough for a flight this early?

2 - Do I need (or am I required) to leave the resort 3 hours prior to take off as usual?

3 - Can I check in my bags the night before the flight?

Yes, DME starts early enough (it essentially runs 24 hours a day).

Yes, your pick up time will still be 3 hours before flight time (roughly).

No, you cannot check in your luggage with RAC the night before - your luggage will have to come on the bus with you (well, under the bus).

I want to add that you still need to be at the DME bus stop 15 minutes before your scheduled pick up time. Buses do come early, even in the wee hours of the morning.

Also, if you are thinking of getting to the airport later, as it is early in the morning, I would advise against it. Some of the largest lines I have been in at MCO were during the early hours of the morning. It seems many people like to get up and get home.

True that. The first flights of the day are usually the busiest, regardless of day or city. I have flown out of MCO at many different hours and it's still one of the busiest/longest security lines I've encountered in all my travels.

RAC's hours are 5:00am to 1:00pm and you cannot check luggage more than 12 hours before or less than 3 hours before so you have no choice but to take it on the bus.

1. DME runs 24/7...as long as there is one person at a resort that needs to get to MCO, DME will stop there.

2. For a 7:30 flight, you will be given a pickup time of about 4:30....that's the usual alloted time. And you do need to be at the bus stop no less than 15 mins prior to that pickup time.

3. Nope. The RAC counter is open from 5am to 1pm. Those who fly out before 8:30am usually can not use RAC. In order to use RAC, you have to be completely done with your checkin and walking away from the counter no less than 3 hrs prior to departure. It usually takes at least 15 mins to get checked in.
