Early Entry?????

The only early entry offered is for people who purchased the 3+ day hopper in advance, either online, or through WDTC (some travel agents book through WDTC, and they would get it through them), and early entry is only to Disneyland for one day out of the stay.

We used it a week ago. On an unbelievably crowded Memorial Day weekend, it was an Oasis on Saturday morning at 7am. With such a compact and intimately designed Fantasyland, you are able to see so many rides during that hour. And then, at 8 am get ahead of the crowds to the more popular attractions outside Fantasyland.

I'd say it's even better than EMH mornings at the Magic Kingdom, in comparison to the crowds during the rest of the day.

I did early entry on a Saturday. I entered the park around 7:20 and did half of Fantasyland in 30 minutes. I don't recall Casey Jr. Trains or Storybook Canals open during early entry, though.

While at DL earlier this week, I was told that it needs to say that you have EE on your Park hopper. We had military hoppers, so we didn't get that option.

I'm not sure if I understand the EE at Disneyland. :scratchin

I understand that you are allowed one EE day with your Park Hopper but are there particular days that Disney sets when you are able to use this option, or do you choose any day of the week when you want to use it.

Yes, you get to pick one of the avaliable days. I think it might be Sat, Tue, Thur... but we are going two days so I don't have notes on it.

Early Entry is offered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. You can pick one day during your stay for that option.

Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness is also offered on those days, but you do not have to do both on the same day.

Do you need special tickets to get the Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness?

WE LEAVE FOR THE MAGIC TOMORROW! :Pinkbounc

To get Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness you need to book a package through the Walt Disney Travel Company (or a travel agency that uses them like Dreams Unlimited or AAA).

Toontown opens an hour after the park, but with the voucher, you can go in when the park opens. There is a little parade, and the mayor of Toontown, Mickey Mouse has a little ceremony where he officially opens Toontown. There is opportunity for guests to interact with the characters, take pics, and go on the rides before the regular guests get in.

What does the Toontown Madness cost?

See Mary Jo's post above yours. The Toontown Madness is only included in packages from select outlets and is not sold seperatly.

Another question for MaryJo the DL Guru:
If you were going in midsummer Monday-Thursday would you take advantage of EE on Tuesday or Thursday?

I think either one would be fine - those are the two days that I recommend for the least # of people, but I would also say go to California the night before so you can be rested before (instead of staying till midnight @ Disneyland).

Can someone answer what time early entry actually is? Is it just DL not DCA....what section/rides.......also is it only Tues,Thurs, and Sat?

Thanks

EE is Mon, Tue, Thurs, Sat at DL only. You only get it with 3+ day parkhopper tickets, and then it is only for one of your days. Only FantasyLand is open, and most rides in FL are usually open. Sometimes Buzz is open in TL.

EE is 60 minutes before regular opening time.

On some days both DL and DCA allow people into the park 30 minutes early, but the rides are not open (note that this not considered early entry). In DL only Main Street is open. I have heard that on some days when they allow peple into DCA 30 minutes early, they also open Soarin'.

One thing to remember is that if you go to DL on an EE day, but you do not have an EE that day, then avoid FL in the morning because it is already crowded with EE folks.

I see that it is only available through certain areas. We booked through Disney Travel, but they didn't mention this....

Do I call them back?

Maryjo - we'll be there on June 27 (Monday) and 28th (Tuesday). Do you have an opinion on which day we should use our EE? I heard Mondays are more crowded so I was thinking Tuesday. However, if we're in the parks on Monday, I wonder if the kids will be too tired to get there at 6:30 on Tuesday. But if you think we can accomplish a lot more on a Tuesday EE then we'll go on Tuesday. Thanks for all your great advice (I've read lots of your other posts!)
