Early Entry to Fantasyland?

I've heard that all 3 Disney properties are already booked solid then. Anyone know if that's really true?

Should be some party!:bday:

I booked a package for the birthday weekend last week & there was still availability at PP & DLH. But not all room types were available. So they will probably be completely booked in the near future. GCH is already booked solid.

To bad about the Fastpasses. I wonder why they took them out. I understand during off-season when POC or HM hardly have waits, but they should offer the option during busy times.

I just came back earlier this month and there was hardly any wait for these attractions. I think part of it has to do w/ the removed FP and also maybe because of a less busy summer this year.

I had to cancel my Disney 50th anniversary package and re-book with AAA as WDT was not at all flexible with this package. Also, they would not give early admission or unlimited fastpasses like AAA. They would also not let you upgrade the 4 day pass to a 5 day pass. I don't see any benefit given to people who stay on property thru WDT. AAA is the way to go. I was able to book 7/16 to 7/19 at the DLH and get all of the AAA benefits. The fast pass and early entry alone will be worth their weight in gold during the birthday week. Anyone interested needs to book fast at AAA as the rooms are almost gone.

The AAA agent contacts WDTC to book the reservation. But booking it through AAA is the way to go since you get a discount (when available) and the added benefits.

I don't understand how AAA can give benefits like Unltd FP but Disney (WDTC) can't. That seems backwards to me...

I know it's strange, but that's Disney's contract with AAA. It's a perk that AAA guests have to book through them and not go directly through WDTC. Kinda like "you scratch my back I'll scratch yours" :hyper:

I just called WDTC. I was told that the early entry land is not guaranteed to be Fantasyland - it is supposedly going to rotate. Also, I asked if I had to book a DL resort hotel or could I book a Good Neighbor hotel to get the early entry feature, and she told me that the early entry is a feature that anyone who buys 3 day or greater park hoppers can get. She said that the early entry to Toontown feature is dependent on booking a WDTC package.

Also, I've read it elsewhere, but she did confirm that for my travel dates in March, I can get a free child's park hopper for each adult hopper purchased.

There also is a rebate of Disney dollars for booking with one of the DL resorts.

<font color=navy>Rooms & tickets purchases separately often come out less expensive than if you buy a package.... HOWEVER, off season, packages may offer the 4th night free, or 3rd night free at some of the Good Neighbor hotels, and when you get one of those specials, the package comes out cheaper than getting the room & tickets separately.

When you get a package, you're also paying for:

Premium seating at the <s>four</s> three shows at California Adventure - one per person; ESPN Zone play card worth $10 for the arcade there (right now only guests w/5-day+ park hoppers, but next year 3-day+ hoppers will get these - one per person; California fun book with many discounts to DD & DLR shops/restaurants, and some other theme parks - one per package; 5x7 souvenir photo (next year it's the one morning early entry into Fantasyland and the Mickey's Toontown Madness mornings) - one per package; lanyard w/two pins for pin trading - one per person

Also, during special times, if you stay at a DLR hotel, you also get two free adult character breakfasts plus the 4th night free- that's a good savings on the packages.
