Early Entry to Fantasyland?

I recently booked an August 2005 stay at GCH via AAA. My documents indicate we will be able to enter DL (Fantasyland only) one hour early on one day of our trip. Anybody know more about this? I am hoping this is true.

I heard it was Toontown not Fantasyland- I know they had the Toontown deal in July and it sounded pretty kewl if you had younger kids- Not so much with older ones though....

When I got home from work today, I checked my travel itinerary and it says:

"One Early Entry to Fantasyland" and also says "Mickeys Toontown Morning Madness"

Anybody know what these mean?

Hi

If you book a package through AAA or WDTC and have a 3 day hpr or greater you get early entrance for one day into Fantasyland.
And "Mickeys Toontown Morning Madness" is also unique to AAA and WDTC, it is an early entrance into toontown one hour early, for one day. It not only lets you see the characters but there will also be some sort of show that is for those guests as well.

Do you have to book a package with AAA or can you just buy the park hoppers from them and get the early entrance to Fantasyland and the Toontown Madness?

Think you have to have a package to get the early EE and Toontown Morning Madness but not positive on that.

Hello!

I booked a package through AAA for July 15th-18th (want to be there on their B-Day!!) and was also told about "Mickey's Toontown Madness" & "Fantasyland Early Entry", so I called WDTC to get the detials:

Mickey's Toontown Madness: You get in an hour early into Toontown & you get to dance and play games with several characters & they do a little show. You will get lots of 1-on-1 attention along with photo Ops.

Fantasyland Early Entry: You get into the park 1-hour early to ride all the Fantsyland attractions. I thought this was great, because you also get to take pictures in front of the new Castle without huge crowds in the background.

It's only offered to people who book a package through AAA or WDWTC (not sure if you have to stay at a Disney Hotel?). And it's not offered everyday, just Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.

You can stay at a Good Neighbour Hotel and get this added to your package. This was the deal breaker for me when it came to deciding whether to book a package or book hotel thru Expedia and buy passes seperately. I think these 2 early mornings are going to be worth booking a package!!

How is the early entry granted? Do you walk up to the regular gates, where everyone waits in line? Is there a special gate designated at the front entrance? Also is it marked on your hopper tickets or is it a separate pass that you use?

The reason I asked we booked a package through AAA to stay at PP, with my Inlaws... but since my husband and I have APs we are only getting 2 hoppers... so it would seem that we might be excluded....

From what I'm told, it will either be encoded on the hopper tickets or a voucher in the package.

<font color=navy>Since Dreams Unlimited Travel books through Walt Disney Travel Company (WDTC), we get the same deal.

As it was explained to me, the guests get early entry into Fantasyland - one hour before the park actually opens. Guests also get one day early entry into Toontown (which normally opens an hour later than the park), and MamaKate explained pretty well what you get. Mickey, Minnie, and friends open up Toontown with a special ceremony, and it should be a lot of fun, especially for those families with little ones.

I'm pretty sure that guests get vouchers for these activities.

This is open to everyone with WDTC packages, whether you stay at the Disneyland Resort hotels or the Good Neighbor hotels.

There is also a special beginning in January, for early spring, where kids get in free with their paying parents, or if adults go w/no children, they get in w/child prices -- pretty good.

Anyone know if there's a minimum of nights to qualify for a package. I was planning on buying the park hoppers through AAA and I booked my good neighbor hotel seperatly. Might be worth booking a few nights through AAA or maybe even all of them depending on the prices. I'm not going until next summer so I have lots of time to plan.

I called AAA to get a quote. The quote they gave me is like $200 more than if I booked hotel by itself and bought the PH from AAA. Is everyone else who's booking a package just paying that much more because they think the early entry is worth that or am I just getting a super good deal on my Hotel room? I'm trying to stay at the Best Wester Park Place Inn.

Seems to me that there was an early entry area by the gates. Perhaps someone else remembers??

Think you're right. Probably could do it cheaper if get good hotel rate on Expedia or whereever and buy passes seperate...but you'll lose out on EE and Toontown Madness. I think it's a judgement call for everyone seperately how special that is to you and if it's worth the extra $. I think we'll go for it as my little guy will be 18 months and having some extra time in FL and TT would be good. I'm going to make up for spending this extra cash by trying to get a dirt cheap hotel in San Diego for 3 nights.

The reason I booked through AAA was to get the unlimited fastpass option. Early entry to Fantasyland and Toontown is cool and helps (a little) to justify the extra $$$ we have to spend. It is also nice staying at GCH with easy access to DTD, DCA, and DL.

I think in part it depends on when you are traveling.

We were at DL just after Christmas - including New Years Eve last year. Had the unlimited FP's (you could get them through WDTC without a package then) LOVED them! We were able to do a lot more than we would have without them.
Of course now that they are removing some of the FP machines that perk is a little less valuable than it was then.

Not sure about the early morning thing. Like others have said, that could be neat, especially if you have little ones. Don't know if I'd pay $200 more for it though.

Although if you're planning to be there on or about 7/17 for the birthday celebration - any chance at light crowds, even for an hour or two, might just be worth it!
I've heard that all 3 Disney properties are already booked solid then. Anyone know if that's really true?

What rides have lost the FP? I am also trying to decide whether is it worth it to stay on property for the unlimited fastpass. This may make the decision easier. Thanks!

At DL Pirates, Haunted Mansion and Pooh have no more FP. I think it might be gone on Star Tours too - but not certain.

At DCA it's just gone on some of the shows that never needed it anyway - like Tough to be a bug and Muppets. They were still using it on Millionaire when we were there Sun. but that closes in just a few days anyway.
