Early Entry questions

We will be doing 1 day at Universal over Halloween weekend (coming over from Disney). Having never been there, we are wondering about early entry... is it worth it? We are focusing on Harry Potter World. If early entry is a really big bonus, we're considering leaving Disney for a night and staying at Universal just to get the perks (at CB... so would only get early entry, not the express pass). Also... looking at the park hours for that time, it looks like IOA is 9:00-7:00 and US is 8:00-5:00. People seem to be saying that IOA would likely have EE, so does that mean that both parks would open at 8:00? Is that right? And is it worth it to change for 1 night for EE? Thanks!!

If you only have one day, then yes it is worthwhile.

We are going the week before Halloween. We will be coming over from Disney also. My initial thoughts was to do 1 day both parks, but then figured there is no way we can do it. Then I figured ok 2 days 1 park each day. Then after doing the math I just booked a night at HRH to get 2 days worth of express passes, save a transportation roundtrip. Yes our Dinsey room will be vacant for 1 night but we are DVC members so I look at is as no loss, plus it beats having to move luggage etc. Just by doing the math of the Room for 299 @ HRH and getting the 2 days worth of benefits and the $80 saved approximately for a cab roundtrip. It was totally worth it. This way 2 days with express passes should be able to let us get everything mostly in.
