Early Entry Question

I checked the park calendars for hours of operation.

If it shows an opening time of 8:00 and the other park opens at 9:00, then I know which park has the EE for that date.

I use the FAQ & Quick Access Link sticky to pull the calendars up.

Right now this is the latest I see on the site for EE
EE only for the studios side and covers entire month of May.

May 2018
May 1-3: 8 am
May 4: 7 am
May 5-10: 8 am
May 11: 7 am
May 12-17: 8 am
May 18: 7 am
May 19-31: 8 am
Studios

Check later mid month to see if your time period is listed.
Sometimes the EE will be listed prior to the month.

Guess it depends on the advanced estimated crowds the parks will have before they secure staff for early park openings

Note that some EE dates start at 7 am

For park hours, they are up now thru October 31, 2018.

All the 3 parks have their hours listed.

Its the EE that is not showing after May 2018

We always do EE; it's just the way we like to tour. The last time we went was at Christmas and that was the first we had been where the HP rides had EP. We found the morning crowds in HP to be very light compared to any other time we went past or through them later in the day.

So, it probably depends on overall crowd levels. Slower times, you might see smaller HP crowds in the afternoon. Busy times, EE might be a better option.

We'll probably never change from our EE ways. ;)

We have gone to UOR three times in the last year for a 2-3 day stay each time. We tend to get up one morning to get to the park about halfway through EE (we stay onsite at RPR and the EP make it unnecessary to use EE time to ride the attractions). We have found that the WWoHP areas are least crowded at that time to do magic. From 11am-4pm seems to be when it was most crowded. We also found it to be not too crowded the hour before close, especially Hogsmeade on nights that do not have the light show. The nights that DO have a night show, yikes. Pack your patience. (We did that last week. Once was enough.)

Hi you should know by the beginning of July. It usually is about one month ahead, but on occasion I have seen this website be behind to update for park hours and early entry hours.

VB will have EE probably at 8 and general public at 9. I looked on the website hours and for the month of August VB opens to the public at 9 so it will be at 8.

I have been to the parks three summers late July and Early August and was always fortunate to have both dry parks open for EE. I noticed each year around the middle of August it goes to one park. Anything can change though.

Happy planning!
Thanks for the info.

Thanks for all the responses! All the info is super useful. Going to give EE a shot and see if we can have an hour with even slightly lower crowds.. or even a leisurely stroll through park. Sounds so great!
