This seems basic enough - but can someone help me understand early entry?

We are staying at RPR. How will I know which parks are doing early entry when we are there? Does it change or is it always the same park?

Thanks!

Last 2 Octobers early entry every day has been 7am Universal studios only. It shows up online or is advertised at the resort.

We are going in October also. I wish I could find the post where I read this but I think it said that Universal Studios is the EE whenever it closes at 5:00 for HHN. And HHN is never (?) on Monday or Tuesday. But I have also read that IOA only gets EE at really busy times of the year so it's possible it may not see an EE at all in October as dixonsontour mentioned. Was that clear as mud?

I go regularly in october and have had some mornings where both parks have EE.
EE hours will be noted in the brochure and hand outs that you receive when you checkin to the onsite hotels.
it will also be on signs in the lobby, boat dock and hotel sites.
UO website will also have it listed.

the studios has been the EE for all of my Oct stays but IOA has been open also on some dates.
could be due to the expected crowds, or if all hotel rooms are full, tour groups in the park that are doing the package w/the "neighbor" hotels, etc...

this year there will be the hhn event on monday, due to it being the 31st.

other than that, monday/tuesday are off the calendar for hhn happening.
wednesdays are added in the middle of the hhn event period.

studios close at 5 pm on hhn nights.
if a person has the hhn tix, they can remain in the parks in one of the holding areas.
just a place to wait out until security gives the thumbs up the park has been cleared.
release of all in the holding areas are then allowed to wander in the park and hit the houses that open early for them.

with Hulk coming back in the fold and operating and the new ride Kong, we will see larger crowds at IOA.
Quite possibly that both parks will keep higher level of guests in them during the day.

We did 7 days 2014 from 17th October and there was only EE at Universal daily at 7am. 2015 we did 10 days from 14th October and it was the same.

Universal studios closed daily at 5pm all except 2 days the monday and tuesday when it was open until 7pm.

Crowds were lowish, touring plans 3/4 busy out of 10.

You were lucky and missed the crowds that built up going into Columbus Day period
