Early Entry Hours?

Hi everyone!

We have been doing our research and have seen some differing accounts of the early entry hours. Can a recent DIS-er tell us when the parks opened for Early Entry? One site said 1 hour before and another said 1.5 hours before. We had thought it was 1 hour; if it is 1.5, we may need to alter our plans a bit.

Everything I have seen states 1hr before official opening - our March and May experience would back this up

Just got back and its 1 hour early. But not all the rides or shows are open. But they do list ahead of time whats open. I find it helps to do these things first thing.

The last time we did early entry was pre-9/11, but they did occasionally open before 1 hour early. Even then, you were only allowed into the entry plaza and had to wait for the rope drop at precisely the correct opening time (1 hr early). It was nice because you could get a stroller or a snack if you wanted.

It seems most of the reports here indicate they don't do this anymore.
