Not unless he has something else that confers early access, like staying on-site.

They always let my husband in with my premier and his power. Just be confident, smile, and be friendly.

Last year when I went with my family they were saying you only need one card to show (either qualifying AP or room key) for your group so they all got in early with me with just day passes. It's not a guarantee but doesn't hurt to try.
