Early Entry and P.S.

I am trying to plan our P.S. arrangements and am wondering if it is better to have the first P.S. in a park that opens at regular time or one that opens an hour early. It seems like if you waste the extra hour (or at least part of it) eating, you might be better off eating at the park which does not have early entry that day because the early crowds will be less and we'll be the first in line on some rides. (Unless there are earlier P.S. available on early entry days.) If anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it.

Also, is early entry in June usually 8 a.m.?

Hi fairy god aunt, welcome to the DIS, I'm very glad you found us.

I like to take a later seating on an early entry day. Go into the park during early entry then have your meal when the park opens to the public.

I'm unsure of what time EE is for June, probably 8am.

Depending on which EE days you want to take advantage of......
Definitely for MK and AK!!!!
I that case....I would make PS as early as possible at a park without EE that day.
For example I'd make PS for Crystal Palace at 8am on a day that Epcot had EE....this is actually what we did. We were done eating by 9 and were right up front for the rope drop to get to Frontierland!!!! We rode Big Thunder twice in a row before most of the people were even able to get through the turnstiles!

Otherwise....make a PS for later in the morning at the same park as EE. Another example of what we did.....we made PS for 10:30 at Hollywood and Vine for the character breakfast on an MGM EE day. We got to EE at 8am, rode TOT, RnR, few others, then headed to H&V, ate, then took in a couple shows before heading back to the resort for a swim at 1pm.
That also worked out great!!

FYI, they don't change the times of PS on EE days, you will still only be able to make them as early as 8am. Don't waste the time eating.

welcome to the boards. we like to go to the early entry park and enjoy the early entry and then take the latest seating for a breakfast that we can get. for instance, we are going to MK for early entry on April 17th this year--early entry will be at 8am. so, we'll enjoy the park until 11 and then hit Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary for an 11:15 PS since the crowds at MK will be getting quite large by that time.
