Early EMH and Flight of Passage arrival time Questions

We are planning on doing an Early EMH on our upcoming May trip and wish to go to Flight of Passage as quickly as we can. The EMH starts at 8 am. We are staying at Coronado Springs and will have a car at the resort. We have never stayed at Coronado Springs before and do not know what the bus service is like. I have a couple of questions about timing:

1. Would it be better to ride the bus or drive the car? I am afraid of waiting too long for a bus. We had a bad experience waiting for an Epcot bus on our last trip when we had an early dining reservation for the Garden Grill.

2. How early should we be at the turnstiles in order to minimize wait time for Flights of Passage. Are Early EMH crowds lighter than regular 9 am entry crowds.

Any help would be appreciated.

1) I would always drive myself over taking the bus. Unless I was going to MK, especially if I was planning on watching the MK fireworks. Buses start daily about 6:30am

2) the earlier the better. For 8am emh I'd still want to be at the turnstiles by 7am at the latest to get a jump on the crowds

If you have the option to drive, then I would definitely do that since it is imperative that you arrive early to get a good spot for FoP. Be at the turnstiles at least one hour before the park opens, so 7 am.

I would drive, however I was at Disney back in august and even during EMH (we drove and headed straight for the ride right away) Flights of Passage had a REALLY long line. Like the line went from the entrance to one of bridges outside of Avatar. That being said, I sat in that line and only waited an hour or two so it wasn't terrible. Although 2 hours sound really long, would you rather wait 2 hours or 4 hours for the ride? Am I right lol

I'd rather get there an hour before rope drop and wait that hour outside of park hours and then only wait 15 min or so to ride once inside.

I went this last Saturday (2/24). I intended to get to the park well before the 7AM EMH opening but the Princess 10K had roads closed (I was driving myself) so I didn't make it. I got in line for FOP at 7 exactly (not sure what time they started letting people in the park) and I waited one hour. It was definitely worth it.
