So as not to look dumb if I called Accounting, are we allowed to deposit money (gift cards/reward card) towards our 2017 dues even though we haven't been billed yet?

I like paying a lump sum method but it would be nice to bring down the amount(s) owed.

They have allowed it in prior years, so don't think it would be any different now.

I like the idea of having a credit 'waiting' for the statement as in my case it's close to Xmas and a January Aulani trip.

I have not prepaid this year, but have in past years. You call member accounting to take the payment. You will then have a credit balance on your dues statement online.

Perfect!!! Thank you.

You could set up a Disney Vacation Account which gets you $20 gift card after you have $1000 in the account.

The thread listed below tells of how to use a DVA to make a payment, I'm going to do it for my 2017 dues and already have a DVA setup.

Disney Vacation Account.. Success!!

Officially, you can't use the DVA to pay dues. It has worked in previous years by telling Accounting you are paying with a Disney Gift Card. There is no guarantee that it will continue to work.
