Early December Weather?

Thanks for that link HollyJoy! My family and I are going in early December as well (6-18) and will be camping at FW so I was a little concerned about the weather as well.
Hopefully we have the high averages instead of the low ones! 20 degrees while camping! Yikes!

We went the week after Thanksgiving last year, and it was absolutely freezing! We had coats, hats, mittens, the works! Be prepared for anything!

I'm hoping it won't be that way this year!

Wow, we were there the week after Thanksgiving last year too. From Sunday to Friday and I wore a shorts and a short sleeve top everyday. It was in the lower 70s for high but it felt great!

Only in the evening did I have to put on a fleece and pants when the sun set because it bacame cool.

I guess maybe because I am from MI and anything above 45 degrees that time of year feels good. :D

That's wild! We were there from Friday, until the following Sunday and it was so cold. (Granted, we were temporarily on the cruise from the 1st Sunday, until Thursday, but it was cold when we left and much colder when we returned!) There were a few times it warmed up, but in those early mornings, we had the entire gear on! We were in shock!

We've gone the first or second week of December the past 6 years. 3 years it was perfect - high 70's/low 80's, no rain. 1 year was cold almost the entire time, low 60's but no rain. The past 2 years has been mixed, some warm days, some cold and some rain (mostly in 2002).

When you say coats what type of coats are you talking about? Like a light weight coat or a heavy winter coat? We will be going the first week in Dec.

I took a light winter coat last year and I was glad I had it on some nights. It was denim with a flannel lining, long enough to cover my butt. Gloves are a must. I noticed on the cold nights they sold alot of the santa hats!

We went the week after Thanksgiving until December 7. I loved the weather, but it was cooler than we expected. We were fine with sweatshirts and pants for the early morning and evenings. Some days were very warm, but overall a T-shirt and jeans would cover you for most situations, but bring a light jacket for the wind and the colder moments.

Were going as well. I think we may rent 2 lockers. One to hold winter clothes and one to hold any bags... can't wait for the cold weather and being at WDW.

You are welcome! Ya know, I'm ALWAYS cold, so I will be packing a variety of clothing for me when we go! LOL I"m also trying to figure out what kind of bag to bring.. backpack or Totebag... since we will most likely be bringing sweatshirts or lightweight jackets, I need the room. Just cant' decide! LOL

I'm going 1st week of Dec. too! I hope it's warmer and not colder. But then, I'm from Chicago. In December, any day over 45 is considered car washing weather!!! FL, even cold, is better than IL in winter!

I'm bringing my mittens though!

We went at the beginning of the month last year and te weather was great and I hope for the same this year::yes::

Last year we wore light jackets (lined) or oversized sweatshirts to attend the MVMCP since it was a late night. That night we also had gloves and were glad we did. Other than that, at night long pants and long sleeves of some sort were necessary.

During the day, it would get pretty warm feeling some days - ds's actually swam both free days we had. Shorts were fine, but long pants (not heavy denim) were also fine.

Really early mornings are cool also, and a sweatshirt over a t-shirt is great, so you could take it off as the day warms.
