We'll be there Dec 6th to the 15th. I was able to get a couple of additional days off of work, so I decided to extend our trip. I was going to use Hilton points to get a free stay on the 5th at the WDW Hilton and extend my CR MK Tower view to the 16th.

The Hilton is sold out for the 5th and the CR MK Tower view is not available for the 15th.

When I originally booked my trip, the CM told me they were filling up. I guess it's true.

It really has gotten to be a popular time of year. The deluxe resorts are really popular because of their decorations, I am not sure if that is the case so much at the CR though. But the MK view does seem to be the most sought out of the views. Was there any other rooms available at the CR for your extra day?

CR is hard at any time of year now regardless of the view.It is one of the Cheaper Monorail resorts, a popular convention resort, and now only has one garden wing left which cuts down on room avail. But in general , the secret about early December travel is out.I could not believe the difference in crowds from 2000 compared to 2007.Still light but noticeably busier than in the past.

All other rooms are available at CR, but I didn't want to bother with moving the last night of our stay and just for one night.

Update: I looked on the website for the nights we're staying and I added the additional night. I thought to do this in case of a cancellation, but no MK Tower. So, I remembered about posts I've read here and I tried the 15th alone and there it was available!

I called CRO and again I was told I couldn't add the extra night for the same view. I told them it was available on the website. I was then told CR MK is sold out for the weekend and AAA rate isn't available anymore. But I could get rack rate for the one extra night. So, why don't they tell me that to begin with? I now have the 15th covered!

I thought they were on some kind of quota system (maybe I'm wrong). Disney is getting an extra night stay out of me, because the tips I've received from the DIS and not from their own CRO.
Thanks DIS peeps!!! :cool1:

thats what happened to us, we are going the same week and our CAA/AAA agent advised there was no more rooms, she thought she might be able to get a day added at the beginning, but then i would have room only, no discount, and no DDP for the first night. We are considering moving a week earlier to go Nov 30th instead?

Glad you gotten it taken care of :thumbsup2

But that week is Pop Warner Football Tournament and Mousefest. Plus earlier this year a bunch of pin codes went out that covered that week, plus the bounceback program starting in April covered that week as well...

Sounds like you were talking to a robot. "Does not compute. Does not compute."

But I'm glad you were able to figure out the code. ;)

As I just posted elsewhere, we could get NOTHING at Poly or GF (any level) for either first or second week of December. We did get Poly Club for 3rd week, :santa:

Often that time of year (and many other times of year, too!), the Friday and Saturday night are a big problem, as they book up well in advance with local weekend vacationers. Lots of people come for the weekend to see the decorations and all. One full night will make an entire reservation unavailable, even if other nights are readily available. Early December does seem busier than in past years! :faint:

This is our favorite time to visit and we've always gone 2nd week of December due to lower crowds. It seems that ended last year when we took our usual vacation only to find it PACKED!:scared1:   We couldn't believe how bad it was and it looks like it will be like this again this year. EVERYTHING is booked for the entire week so it looks like MVMCP is gonna be a nightmare.:headache: I'm trying to get a few extra days on-site and thought it'd be no problem, but due to in-laws fouling up our plans, i had to make some changes that now have us without a room for 3 days. We could always stay with my in-laws, but would prefer to stay on-property as we always have. Oh why oh why did I cancel my AKL standard-view room:sad2: :sad1:
